I mean gametypes like Territories, VIP, and matchmaking options like Big Team Battle. All underused and fun, but something is amiss. Same thing with Infection. It may be popular, but it feels like a gimmick in comparison to Infection MODs or PDZ. What options can be added to make these gametypes fun again.

I think they should speed up the gameplay. Territories is such a slow gametype that it gets boring in Halo 3. Faster gameplay would also make camping in VIP less effective. Infection is fine though.

How do you propose an increase in gameplay speed? Even MLG only uses 110% speed in comparison to other option like 125%. Maybe they should add the option to type in percentages the game algorithms should automatically calculate the speed for stuff like 115% or 116%.
How about if they just moderately speed up gameplay by increasing rate of fire for all weapons, and then tone down the shields, or make the weapons do more damage. Perhaps they should increase the range of all weapons, but find a way to equal out bursting, with spraying at close range to promote melee use with the longer range increase.

Also, they still have a way to emulate the original territories I believe in custom game options in Halo 3. This new Team Fortress esque Territories is fun for tactical round based players, but not fast or chaotic enough like the original Territories on Halo 2.
