Veni, Vidi, Vici
I came, I saw, I conquered

Assuming that Reach has rockets and the same aim assistance as the past 3 Halo games, please do not put them together. There is nothing more annoying than having rockets aimed at somebodys feet and firing only to have them jump and due to the delay that rockets have, my rocket fly 10 yards behind them and possibly not even damage them when they shoud have completely depleted shields at the least.

(One a side note but related: Grenades also seem to have magnetism. Please remove it.)

Beware the smiley face! =D

What annoys me is every time I kill somebody with a rocket when they tried to dodge it, they whine "OMG AIM ASSIST MAKES ROCKETS CURVE IN THE AIR".

And I love going on theater and watching them go dead straight. Same with bullets.

The curve is exageratted. A LOT.

The problem is rockets or the any other weapon is when some dude runs in front of you, and you are aiming at someone else, your aim (not the direction of the rocket or bullets) jerks in one direction and you miss.

You should be able to tone down auto aim or turn it off.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I approve of no autoaim for Sniper Rifles, Lasers, Rockets and Fuel Rods.

The aim assist dosent really do anything with lasers and fuel rods. Rockets dont curve in the air either, although if an enemy walks in front of you the aimer can get dragged. Sniper rifles only really have aim assist helping at close range.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

I'm pretty sure you can turn aim assist off.

The reason there is no auto aim is because the rocket is more of a test of skill and accuracy. You keep missing? Stop aiming directly at them when they run away. Aim where their gonna be. And if my simple advice is not good enough for you: STOP WHINING! IF YOU WANT AUTO AIM GO PLAY SECTION 8! thank you.

I wouldn't go so far to say the rocket launcher needs much of skill or accuracy. Though learning to lead the rocket is useful.

And I approve of the Section 8 comment.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

It's kind of a hard argument when you get into the auto-aim thing, as it is there to help with online inconsistencies to an extent. There are certainly things that it should be toned down for though, I personally think that all the weapons that are regarded as being precision weapons should not have auto-aim.
