I bought Halo for the PC mainly for the online play, but I can't play online! I can play the Halo Trial version online great... no problems whatsoever. But when I play the full version, my entire internet connection is disrupted the moment I get into the game. Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

What exactly do you mean by your Internet connection being disrupted the moment you get into the game? Are you dropped from your ISP? You receive/give no activity on the connection? Is this just when you start up the game? Or does this only occur when you try to join a gameroom on the Internet?

Have you applied any of the patches?
Are you running a firewall?

I get dropped from my ISP. I do receive a short amount of gaming activity just before it cuts me off, and it only happens in multiplayer internet games. I haven't tried hosting a game, but since I'm running on a modem, it wouldn't be useful even if that worked. I've applied the latest patch for Halo, which I think is 1.0.4. I'm not running any firewalls.

Hm... modem disconnects aren't my thing. You could always update the driver for your modem. This doesn't sound like it's Halo's fault, as 56k modems are infamous for being fickle like that. Sorry I couldn't help you out more. :/ If you don't get any more responses at this forum, head over to the Gearbox forums and post in the Technical forum. Might get some more answers there, as it's a bit more high traffic than this place.

Anybody else have any suggestions for Ridley?

Thanks... I'll try that. I think I've tried updating the modem drivers before, and it didn't help.

Have you tried talking to bungies online support? I could be something with the game if u can play the trial just fine.
