'A clever person solves a problem. A wise person avoids it.'

Hunting Club

I am really looking forward to next Fall when this game gets released. I have been web surfing everyday to see if there is any new information about the movie - Halo: The Fall Of Reach. The book was amazing and I can't wait to find out what the game is going to be like. My guess is that it might involve the same idea as ODST where you fight multiple waves of enemies. There are areas in the book where they fought waves of Covenant.

Yeah. But that is a long way away. I'm more focused on another game, that gets released in 6 days.

Also, I hope the movie is ACTUALLY in production and is good.

Its written by the guy who wrote GIJoe :/

This is the only time I've ever wanted a Halo movie to fall through.

Right now they only have a screenwriter for the movie. I am excited about that game too.
I heard about this but I am not going to say where I heard this but I heard that it is possible that Halo: Reach will based around the new wave of gaming i.e. Natel.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

Spielberg is the only person who has publicly shown interest in Beattie's script. While that is something in and of itself... so was Peter Jackson being at the helm of production...

Until further word is released, the movie is canceled and should not be considered anything but.

I am just looking forward to when someone steps up and goes with it.

That's just it though. I've love it if that happened... but I'm not holding my breath for it. The highlight of the Halo franchise has come and gone. Unless they can deliver an even higher impact of monumentally innovative and record-breaking stature with Reach, I don't see it happening. I'm not trying to be cynical or anything... just realistic. It made the most sense for such a production to be under way in the midst of the trilogy, because chances are that, while the Halo franchise will undoubtedly continue along a path of great success, the hype seen in the rise of the original trilogy, and all of the love given to the story by Bungie... will remain unmatched.

You mean the fail of gaming Natal? Yea, Failure. Sorry but I like using a controller. It won't be based off of it, it MAY include the ability to choose to use it, but it will still be based off controller play.

And the movie is not canceled, it is on hold. There is no official word on cancellation so you can't call it that.

well the creators of District 9 were originally working on a Halo movie. However, they thought it was too hard so they made there own film (district 9).

Yeah, I really don't want to use Natal, I just want a normal controller.

I agree with you. They will really have to work hard to get everyone as excited as everyone was during the trilogy. With Reach since it takes place, obviously, during Halo:CE it will get a lot of attention from the fans who have read the books. Having them release a game which goes back in time through the story is something I think that will be huge and make everyone, every type of Halo fan, pleased.

It was Neill blomkamp and Peter Jackson that worked together on District 9
