As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.

It's beautiful, when I'm listening to Rain I feel like I am the Rookie thinking what he's thinking, feeling what he is, and it's amazing to feel that way

“To say more would spoil be it’s overall its a game that needs to be played.” - Aristotle

Epic work, Marty! I particularly like rain, it really brings out what you were trying to capture. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they're incorporated into the game itself.

Can't wait!

AWESOME! Great score!

Much, MUCH better than the Halo 2/3 soundtracks. I like NEW music, not constant re-mixes.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

I'm going to have to go with Rain being my favorite but there all amazing!

  • 09.15.2009 3:17 PM PDT

If you want to know how I got Recon, go here:

They sound amazing but it doesn't have that catchy melody that gets stuck in your head like the original Halo theme.

Traffic Jam sounds a little James Bondish and I think it sounds pretty good. I can't wait to hear them in game though.

Neon Night really seems fitting. The jazzy sound makes it really seem like you're alone in a city at night.

Winner of the 2012 Lurker of the Year award.

I'm watching you.

As a musician, hearing every detail of these songs is simply amazing. My complements to "the big guy" who made this all possible.

Absolutely terrific. Both Rain and Traffic Jam, specifically, have quickly become among my favorite pieces of the series. Beautiful stuff, Marty.

My Best Bungie moment: finally beating all the Halo games on solo legendary.
My Worst Bungie moment: not seeing giant stuffie grunts in the Bungie store.

No Tenor Sax? :(

Oh well, I know it is going to be awesome anyway.

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

LIstening to Rain right now, I like it :]

  • 09.15.2009 3:48 PM PDT

ODST Theme: This is definitely my second favorite out of all four available pieces. It brings an excellent mood to the game itself, and definitely goes well for the past ViDocs & trailers.

Rain: This would probably be my third favorite out of the current four. I'll admit it has a really good beginning with the piano and reminds me of the "ODST Theme" piece though, which is excellent.

Traffic Jam: This is my favorite (number one) by far. It has a great rhythm, tone, and possibly the best guitar play I've seen in all the Halo OST's. Truly amazing and stunning!

Neon Night: Although this is my least favorite out of all four, it has a very good beat to it, and includes a lot of emotion in my opinion. Great piece nonetheless.

Love the soundtrack, it still has that Halo feeling to it, with a slight increase in epicness.

  • 09.15.2009 3:54 PM PDT
