The most you're going to get out of a female spartan is a possible, slightly more shapely, form.
The spartan in Homecoming, or in the Reach Banner for example, both are obviously a bit thinner, hips a bit wider, with more slender shoulders.
Can we please avoid the already obviously canon breaking load of BS that is Halo Legends.
Although armor permutations and color variation are available in MM, Spartans NEVER EVER WORE THEM. ALWAYS green Mjolnir (aside from Gray team, who was Gray, though the paint on their Mk IV likely burned or chipped off in a fight.)
This Canon was also broken in Halo Wars, when the red team leader had red paint on his chest plate when Halo The Flood clearly stated that the UNSC never wore colors or garments that would obviously indicate leadership on the battlefield. Again, this was EVER.
Whether you like it or not, despite recon, Halo Wars and Legends are both canon (with the exception of the non-canon "Odd One Out" satirical episode).

: Halo 'canon' can quite easily be viewed in a similar way as the kind of canon
: system in place with Star Wars.
: A certain hierarchy of priority.
: In other words, different levels of canon where the higher levels will
: override the lower ones whenever there is a contradiction.
Everything that Bungie has ever approved is canonical. But even then, certain things trump others. In order of canonical influence:
- The games rank first
- Published materials (books, comics, soundtrack liner notes etc.) rank second
- Marketing and PR materials third
And there's one codicil: the more recent items trump the older ones. So, for example, if some aspect of Halo 3's fiction contradicted Halo 2's, Halo 3's would be the gold standard.

GP: Do Bungie consider the story of Halo Wars to be a part of their official canon?
Jason: Yes, Halo Wars is canon. Frank O'Connor is the Halo "canon overseer" and we have his official signoff!

In other words, because Halo Wars is a game, and it came after The Flood, it's considered "more" canon. And for the canon "Broken" in Halo Wars going against "UNSC not wearing garments that would show leadership": I guess the hat Sergeant Johnson wears, or any of the sergeants for that matter aren't canon either.
As for Legends, I like to at least think that we don't know everything, or know every story about the Halo Universe. There's still plenty of stories we don't know about, and it's constantly expanding. We always thought Spartans only wore Mk IV/V armor before the battle of Reach, and out comes Spartan Black, another completely canon piece of the Halo Universe.
