I have noticed ,and am sure you have too, that Halo Three's melee is way to easy and is'nt much fun. So I have been trying to figure out a way to make them more skillfull and fun. Now I know you can make them more skillfull by making combos or making them extremely hard to aim (Republic Commando multiplayer) but to the general public the former isn't much fun and the latter is silly because come on I mean seriously do you miss a punch over and over until you get lucky and hit them, NO (thats like what noob snipes like). So after a few almost sleepless nights I figured out a solution. What I thought up is a system where instead of two hits it would be like four or five but you could melee almost as fast as you want. Now that would be too easy wouldn't it so after that I thought of a way for it to take skill (No it should not be hard to aim where you hit) I thought why not make it a test of your reflexes like most of Halo is. So I thought of when I got punched by my brother about how you tend to thrash your head around when you get socked by someone (yes a supersoldier with an ivincible exoskeloton would even notice an average human hitting him but another of his kind would have similar effects as two humans in a melee) So in the game your line of sight would throw itself in every which direction when you get punched and you'd have to correct it the quickest to win (for people with low sensitivities it momentarily amp them up to the highest sensitivity, also I think something like bumper jumper should be default controls)
I may post a video if enough people vote for it but I'll either have to do it in halo 2 or wait till my 360 gets repaired.
