Get a life?
Im a Gamer, I have loads of lives...

Maybe a different button, but no I dont. It would be too confusing for some people and too hard to implement.

Note: If the map changes, and the gametype does not, the new map will have to be one that supports that gametype.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Gears did it right with Voting. 2 options would come up, and you would vote. If you tie, a third option is randomly generated and that is what you get.

Yeah, I saw this idea about a year or two ago. I wish they would add it so we could veto stuff like V.I.P.

  • 09.16.2009 12:05 PM PDT

Yea, because I know a lot of people who get into a game, with an awesome gametype, like brs, swords, or something, but a horrid map. Awesome idea :)

What playlist are you in? I love V.I.P!

Live to Play Live!

I think it should be Press X to Veto Map, Press X to Veto Gametype. Veto map first ad let it pass or not then veto Game type. It'll work wonders.

What about vetoing Map & Gametype? Press Y, perhaps?

  • 09.16.2009 1:35 PM PDT

Oddball1221

great idea, but to veto gametye should be Y

  • 09.16.2009 2:30 PM PDT

I would rather see something like voting rather then vetoing. Before either map loads it would just give you an option to vote for one or another that way you dont have to wait for a map to load, veto it, and then wait for the other map to load.

Halo 2- 55$
Xbox 360- 400$
Xbox Live- 45$

No Scoping a kid in the face who had the sword and hearing his squeeky voice go WHAT THE----as his voice gets cut out.

From a personal standpoint i think it would be a great idea. Because for the most part people Veto a variant because of the gametype. If it is Team BR's usually people wont Veto. But if it is somthing like Slayer on Guardian. Id say in my cases. 90% of the time i veto for gametype.

This is a great idea.

Too many Bungie fanboys.

Lol. I have posted this atleast 3 times over the last year and a half(but in H3 forum) and each time it died out very quickly, and it died a fiery death.

Good luck hope to good its in the game.

  • 09.16.2009 4:21 PM PDT

Good idea but what if you don't like both the gametype and map.
You would have to have a third option to veto both game and map. Then it gets pretty complex...You would be better off just to keep the veto system we have.

I don't think anybody without some kind of serious mental condition would be confused by that.

The problem is, many gametypes will only work on certain maps. If it's a map that's specifically made for one gametype (grifball and many of the gametypes in Action Sack, etc.)then the process will be ruined. I think it's fine the way it is, the only thing that they could load the map aftr the veto option to make load times shorter.

  • 09.16.2009 4:33 PM PDT

Actually, I would rather see the veto option removed. Why can't we just play the game?

But if it were implemented again, this would be the way to go.

You will, hey wait! Didn't you wanna hear what you'd get first!"

I hated that system. I liked it more than the one we currently have, but this idea of veto gametype one button map another sounds nice to me. I like it. Maybe X and B though, to keep them apart to avoid accidents.
