This apple is brown, and rotten. This orange on the other hand, is in relatively average shape. So the orange is definitely the preferable option.
----------You can't compare apples and oranges. You're so dumb.

Even though Halo 3 failed, I still like it.

You like a game, but it failed? If the stated goal of a game, is to entertain, and you like it. The game has succeeded.

What kind of arbitary means, have lead you to say it has failed? If you like it, the things you like, outweight the things you don't. If thats failing, who needs success?

If only more games could fail like Halo.

*rolls eyes.

i agree with you on some parts, but there will always be some good gamer out there that can fight with crappy weapons and still win. I like smg's more but i like the ar as well since i have to use it most of the time since i don't have a smg,but i wished the ar had a bigger clip like halo 1.

*Sigh* Look, it failed to some fans, it's still a good game to me but I don't count it as better than Halo 1. (God I hate Halo 1)

So let me recap you hate Halo 1, think Halo 3 isn't any better. But like Halo 3? Okay now that I have caught up.

Im trying to point out to you, that the game didn't fail (broad term). But that you, and some others didn't like it. Or more specificly, that you didn't like certain aspects. Im not taking issue with that. Im taking issue with the terminology used. Even most of the fans, who take issue with certain aspects of Halo 3, don't really think the game, "failed". They enjoy the game. But they either don't like the game as whole, as much as previous entries. Or they don't like specific changes out of context, and they let that ruin the game for them, or they exaggerate their distaste for the changes intentionally or otherwise.

The game isn't perfect. People have different opinions. When you make a sequel, some people are going to think its on par. Some people are going to like it more. Some people are bound to like it less. The issue is, your confusing your perspective, as a universal truth. Your confusing the reasons why you don't like the game, as undeniable evidence not only of the games shortcomings but the game failure. When infact, that just your perspective. Its clear, from the statement, " Game sequel fail", that you pathelogically don't like sequels. Its not Halo 3, its not every one of those sequels. Its you.

You have to look no further than this thread. You see the people who clearly think Halo 1 > every other Halo game. You see people like you, that think Halo 2 > every other Halo game. And we see people like me, that think Halo 3> every other Halo game. Then there are folks on the fence, or people that see the different games as equals. The game didn't fail. You didn't like it as much as Halo 2. Others like Halo CE better. There IS a difference.

Those who think this game needs to go back to halo 2 times intsead of like halo 3 is wrong. I like that they added the AR, yes i hate it but it allows for people who arent as good at the game, to enjoy it more. Nothing is wrong with bungie appealing to less hardcore gamers. We as hardcore gamers can easily just play the MLG playlist, which takes out the ARs and most noob weopons aside from the mauler. Reach i think needs to keep the beginners appeal to their game. Because the people who are 'good' at the game, will own the people not as good pretty easily anyway.
If the game takes as little skill as in H3, the casual majority is pleased. Cool, right? The hardcore gamer is pretty much left in the dust (sure you can change some stuff around, but the weapon balance can't be adjusted, so we're stuck with what we get).

If the game took more skill than H2/H3, then the hardcore minority is pleased, AND SO IS THE CASUAL MAJORITY. Wait, what the hell did I just say? Oh yeah!

If the game takes more skill, the ranking system works, so the guy who is bad at aiming is matched up against someone just as bad at aiming as him, so he is not getting killed too fast (as he would be when the game takes less skill because the ranking system is then less accurate) and he is having just as much fun as he did in the noob-friendly Halo games.

See? If the game takes more fun, EVERYONE is happy. Not just one group. Stop being selfish :)

Epic post, that pretty much sums everything up.
Does new accounters ring a bell?? I guess you forgot that.
New accounts level up and stop playing low levels quickly, it happens in any game with ranks. The best will sort themselves out.

The rank and health systems are bad.

I don't think reach should go back to the Halo 2 days, It should go back to the Halo 1 days.

Just because we have an MLG playlist in Halo 3 doesnt mean that Halo 3's gameplay provides a better competitive experience than Halo 1. All I want are custom game options to make Reach more like Halo 1. Is that too much to ask for?

I quite enjoy Halo 3. Campaign and multiplayer, but it is somewhat easy. The Combat flood are simple one shotters, the brutes you can mellee to death with ease in MYTHIC mode, and the only things I find challenging are the pure forms and the Scarabs in Mythic, or legendary. But either way, the game is pretty easy...

What the -blam!- is wrong with all of these kids that think Halo 3 and Halo 2 are these dramatically different games. Halo 3 is basically Halo 2 with a different starting weapon and equipment. The only game in the series that's completely different than the others is Halo 1.

Halo 3 has all of the same game-crushing gameplay tweaks that were introduced in Halo 2. Different vehicle physics, different vehicle camera angles, short grenade arcs, weaker grenades, shorter weapon firing distances, lunging melees, no health, etc. God Daaaaamn people get it through your head.

People's views on the Halo games works similarly the way people view the United States' presidents. Once one is in office they all catch crap and are made out to be terrible but once they leave, people look back and say they weren't all that bad.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

hell with halo 2 I want mix of halo 1 with halo 3 halo 1 freedom and Balance halo 3 graphics pyshics lighting and shading.

That is just a single opinion, and you're flaming other people for theirs. Just because you liked it where everything was more powerful, doesn't mean everyone else has to be a Halo 1 fanboy

The Bring Back Bloodgulch Group have many members looking for more its kind of an unofficial petition to Bungie to bring back Bloodgulch in Reach http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/bx3g/Group/GroupHome.aspx
