Shot in the arm with a sniper. It gets blown off.
Thats realy un-realistic.

Ok this a furturistic war
this Is alien blood and guts
and knowing war has nothing to do with a frigging video game
realism or not it is made for entertaiment and MATURE players
which means 18+ so that you means you should understand it's a game

Plus I think a soldier with pts would be smart enough to avoid things that with increase it

A large man

I want to see heads and body parts flying off, blood spraying all over the place and spattering on your visor, and -blam!- blowing up constantly, there should be extreme amounts of violence and gore..... but in all seriousness it would be cool to see plasma shots actually melt through skin, the books described it so well, I wish the game would do the same.

If you guys want brutality or more blood...go join the military and go to the Middle East...you can see it for real and get your fill of it. If you come back alive..I doubt you will want to play it in a game.

What makes halo good is it is different then the others. Do you need a pool of blood after you kill somebody to really enjoy it?

If you do, then maybe bungie can add the families and children mourning the loss of those that are being killed. Then it will be really realistic.

They don't want to die, they just want to play a realistic game. geez...

I wish I was still legendary.

The reason the marines fight like civilians is that they ARE civilians. This was has been going on for 25 years by the time reach starts. The UNSC are most likely desperate for ANYONE who wants to enlist. Hell, they wouldn't demote Romeo because they didn't have enough good snipers.

I can agree that their AI should be at least a bit better though. It would be..unnecessary to blow people's arms off, and a but unrealistic if they're wearing solid titanium armour held together by rubber. I would rather NOT come home to a game where all I do is blow people up - literally, it's really not that appealing after a while.

I think your family should be mourning for you right now. Are you a certified retard? I appreciate a good tangent when I see one but this just jumps right into it.

Travi26, more like Travi96.

Enough op flaming though, why would we need to see a brutes wife a kids cry over him? I would probably shoot them to. We can have a -blam!- reunion.

Shameless plug for my blog:

Check it!

The main thing that struck me was the fact that in all of the Halo games, there have been no dead people around (apart from the odd marine dead in some levels).

What I mean is, in Halo 2 and ODST, the cities got attacked by armies, yet there were no dead civilians around? Didn't really make sense...but I don't think Bungie will do this because they don't want to lose the extra bucks that their 12 audience gives them.

P.S. Ignited Prophecy, you're a goddamn retard.

Sent the map 11/27. Hope it all goes well.

By the time you play as the Master Chief in Halo 1, a good number of GOOD soldiers are dead, toasted, MIA, PoWs, etc. The UNSC have to pull every man they can get to keep fighting a losing war. Some probably just went to boot camp and was sent to fight, hoping they hold their own and live.

The covenant don't really have to come down to fight. Just destroy the Orbital Defense Units, the naval fleets and just glass the planet. No ground combat required. The only reason they come down on Harvest, Reach and Earth (along with a couple other planets I can't name off the top of my head) was because a Forerunner Artifact was there, and glassing the planet would destroy it.

Also, you are the Master Chief, the only man that was capable to single handedly kill off an entire Covenant armada, stop a parasite from going out of control, and make it home in one piece. Wouldn't you feel a little inspired to fight when you are standing next to a guy that is more awesome than the entire arms forces put together?

Although the violence could be turned up a little, it is up to the developers how they want it to be. It's their style, and they ultimately create the ideas. You don't absolutely need dismemberments, pools of blood and tons of gore to make a good game.
