Seven words

Vidmasters

Wait thats one word and seven achievments

They give zero gamerscore except in ODST, plus they're really easy. Just time consuming. The longest is Endure, which can take like 2 hrs, but the others are much shorter.

Well, I was making tacos so, I'm not sure about the other guys.

Exactly. If you put them all in campaign, it extends the campaign experience and lets people enjoy multiplayer without stressing about achievement grinding.

CoD has them all in campaign, and their multiplayer surely doesn't suffer for it.

Gears, on the other hand, has a good chunk of them for multiplayer and they are the epitome of tedium.
I could not have put it better myself.

I think i would like an achievement where it counts up kills with a weapon, say, the BR.
Get 7000 kills with the Battle Rifle across all campaign missions and multiplayer matches.
It could even use the ODST Achievement tracking pop-up at the side of the screen.

Well, easy if no one disconnects after Set 4 round 3 wave 5 ;)

I like how Modern Warfare/2 does it: No online achievements, but challenges for online play. Reach can use a similar system. Complete a challenge (or set of challenges) to unlock armor perms. XBL achievements would be used only for solo/co-op play.

It would add to the replayability of the campaign as well. I really like this idea. I doubt it will happen, though. :(

Look at it like this
Call of Duty no online achievments and is not suffering from it
Halo 3 had a few and people boosted for them until they got them
Gears LOTS of online achievments and it caused lots of quiting and boosting

So all in all it seems that games realy don't benifit a whole lot from achievments and as a matter of fact seem to cause more problems than good

I hope they're creative like the ones in Fable 2.

I'd like to see a viral t-bag achievement like in Shadowrun too. Oh yeah

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I think the vidmasters are fine, it's the one's that depend solely on luck that piss me off. 2 for 1, steppen razor, maybe next time buddy. These few all rely on circumstance that are far beyond the norm, and that's what I think they should stay away from.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I do not like weapon specific achievements. Especially not a weapon that is on so few maps and that has a charge time.

I wouldn't mind if the achievements were campaign or matchmaking. Like Headshot Honcho, 'get 15 headshots in campaign or in matchmaking'. That way you can get it either way. I wouldn't mind seeing some creative ones, like getting a kill while on the back of a mongoose.

As long as I have a choice in the weapon I use and the way I do it, it doesn't bother me.

I kind of like the idea of bungie using their own challenges instead of achievements for online.
