I don't think I would like to play on you're server if you ban ppl based on ping. It's just... no I just don't have words fit enough for this....

Then i would never ban somebody based solely on lag. ost peaople do realize that playing with high lag/ping /whatever is bad and after a limit impossible so they tend not to stay on high ping/lag/watever servers

Unless it's obnoxious - ie multiple people complaining about it for more than a minute, and I noticing it as well - I won't. Ping doesn't always mean lag for everyone. We had a guy with 600 the other day, no one else was effected.

It's just when it is the type where the person joins, and after that the server is unplayable. One guy joined, skipping, ghosting, lagging, couldn't even kill someone. That in my mind warrants at least a friendly suggestion to leave.

if it starts lagging everyone and people are complaining i ask the person to leave. friendly. thats all. if they wont, and act disrespectful, then i kick them. if they wont, but have a legit reason... i suppose they could stay and see what happens.

its all based on how it affects all the others that are playing

If warping and other crud like that happen i ask the guy to leave cause it`s ruining our game...i know how it is when mofo`s ban you out of nowere. But when i enter a server and i see that i`m warping i tell them i`m sorry but i`m out cause i`m not doing god for your game.

Hate it when ppl are rude scum. or when they mess with my stunts.

As long as the lag isnt affecting anyone else, i'm fine with it. What i hate is when someone tries to kill you but then you kill them first, at which point they ban you. They should be banned from life. Or at least the gene pool.

I ban people who have high ping and if they don't leave when I ask them to.

EDIT: Also teamkillers, of course.

Kick is what I do. Never a ban unless its autoban. Only if they won't leave when they are messing everyone else up.

interesting results

lately i have become so laggy that people dont have to kick me, i drop myself. i dont know why, though i do have dial-up. one thing i have thought about is the other people in the games. "what if they have their network settings set wrong?" whis is what i have been thinking about.

personaly i would like to see the settings "removed". the settings would be set to a position that would be optimal for 56k, and just plain old optimized. *just my thought*

and i hate my friggen norton accessing the internet constantly, i believe that only live update should be accessing the internet, but other utilities of norton keep interupting halo and i dont know how to stop them.

For me when someone come to a server with a high ping everyone gets a high ping and then the leave. I would like to bet able to make it so that if anyone has a ping over say 500 then they get kicked not banned. Is there a console command to do this?
