Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"
Whorocker, I'm gonna try and break this down for you, and you can believe me if you want, I could care less, just know that it is wholly paintful to watch someone act as stupid as you.
1. Bungie, rather a few Bungie employees that frequent this site (gold text, perhaps you've seen them?) commented several years ago that this was not going to happen, ever. The reason is because Halo CE was never made to be an xbl game, thus it would require a recode, translation, the game would need to be "remade" to allow for online play through xbl.
Not they can't do it, not they aren't able to do, but they won't do it. It makes no "economic sense" for them to take the time and money to do this (time = money in the big boy world) simply to turn around and sell the same game, with added MP over xbl.
2. Others have covered this, but I will reiterate. The fan base is a lot smaller than you think. Halo CE is one of my most favorite games, and by far my favorite FPS game. That doesn't change the fact that the current player base prefer the easier gameplay offered by Halo2, 3 and ODST. Why do you think each title has sold over it's predecessors? Each title has gotten more and more user friendly. CE was hard for some, and many of those people found solace in Halo2, many more in Halo3.
Now I could spend hours digging through the pages of the forums to find content to back this up, but I have no intention to, I could care less if you believe me. Tied right in with my first point, a remake makes no sense whatsoever.
3. Bungie is busy, period. They are in the middle of what may be there last Halo game, and after that they are their own company once again, meaning they really have more important things to worry about like establishing a new IP and keeping their company afloat. Again, tying into the first point, the time taken for a remake makes no sense.
To conclude my little rant, let me just say this. if Halo CE was recoded, or even remade with xbl and nothig else touched, it would be nothing more than a throwback for the most loyal of fans. It wouldn't make them a ton of money, it would be a charity project, a favor. The sad thing is, once you play CE on xbl, you will realize the mistake of what you desire.
A possible two things will happen if CE ever goes LIVE, either they will balance it for xbl play, taking into account the nature of online play and developing it as such (like they have done with 2, 3 and ODST), thus changing the game that we know and love from what it once was. Or they will leave it be, and the game will play terribly because it was never made to account for things like lag, host advantage, packet loss (that thing that causes bullets or melees to sometimes not register) and the like.
You ask for things to be done when it is painfully obvious that you do not know what is involved in task. People have been trying to help you see more than just your side, but you refuse, so I recommend this, do some reasearch, learn a bit about the working world, learn a bit about the Halo community (through the forums) and learn a little bit about game development, then take another look at what your asking.
