Subject: Spartan Black lead into Reach?

Just putting a theory out there; I was thinking that the spartans appearing in the upcoming Spartan Black comics could turn out to be characters for Reach(ie S-259 or S-320), similar to the way that some of the guys from ODST are in the Helljumper comics that are leading up to the launch of ODST. The only info I've found on Spartan Black says that it takes place just before the battle for Reach, so it would seem like a good way to establish the main characters for the upcoming games. what do you guys think?

Hmm, I guess its possible. The Spartans in Spartan Black are also black ops type guys and attached to ONI, which could possibly explain their weird call signs.

The Spartans in Reach are Blue Team Fred Linda Kelly WIll and John.

Last time I checked, firstly, all the Spartans left except Gray Team, were at Reach.

And none of the Spartans you mentioned were S-320 or S-259.

We need to get out of the idea that the game is based on the events of the book, completely!

Sorry I didn't know they anounced that S-320 or S-259 were in the game. And I just figured since it was Called Halo Reach it would be based on everything that we know about Reach.

They didn't announce that they are in the game but I would say that its a safe assumption.

Also, why would Halo: Reach be about everything we already know? I mean, don't you think that'll be a bit redundant. It'll be about the Fall of Reach, the event. Not the book and while the other Spartans will most likely play a prominent part in the game, it most definitely won't be a story based solely on them because that story's already been told in the books. If it is, it'll just be a dumb cash-in and I don't think that's how Bungie rolls.

S-320 and S-259 are Spartan III's they were never on Reach. And I hope that the game is not straight out of the book.

Nope. They are not S IIIs. GO check the S III naming schemes. Completely different.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Wow, I've been thinking the same thing since I first read about Halo: Spartan Black. Based on when the comics are supposed to come out and the approximate release of Halo: Reach, not to mention the story in Spartan Black, it seemly highly probably.

They are not Spartan III's. There were no Spartan III's deployed to Reach when it fell.

Plus, there's not guarantee that Sierras 259 and 320 are Spartans. Those could easily be call-signs for Pelican Dropships.
