Subject: Who is the spartan second to the far left on main picture?

Forgive your enemies but remember their names.

Hey guys quick question i dont know if people have already discussed who the spartans are but i think i know who all of them are except for the one second to the far left.

The far right is kelly: because the spartan in pic is using a sniper rifle and she always used a sniper rifle

The second to the far right is fred: becasue the spartan in pic is holding a knife and Fred like to to play with a knife he carried

The middle guy is John: he was spartan leader and the guy in pic looks like the leader as well as he is holding an assault rifle which is Johns favorite weapon

The far left guy is Sam: the guy in pic is bigger than all the others and Sam was really big

Only problem with Sam being last one is he died very early on against the covenant so he might be someone els.

ANYWAY BACK TO QUESTION

Who is the guy second from far left?

NOTE: I obtained all my info from the books

Soon to be breaking news:

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

Linda is the sniper, not Kelly.

Its not a spartan, its a horse, the other spartans ride it into mordor, because you cannot simply walk into mordor, you need an armored horse.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

I highly doubt that the characters in the banner are known Spartans, if they are even Spartans. A couple look like ODSTs.

It would have to be known spartans. The only ones on reach were known aboard the Pillar of Autumn. Others couldn't be called in.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Simple fact: None of us know who they are.

Unless there was a class 2 of Spartan II's. The idea has been on the swaying back and forth between fake and canon since ilovebees.

All known Spartans from class 1 went planet-side with the exception of John, Linda, and James (I think). After the events of Reach, Halo: CE, and the story told in "Halo: First Strike", there only Spartans left alive were John, Linda, Kelly, Fred, Will (I think that's it, correct me if I'm wrong).

Now, unless Bungie is going to make a campaign based solely on the event detailed in "Fall of Reach" and "FIrst Strike", it would be a boring and short campaign. With the the question of Sierras 259 and 320, it's possible we will see a whole new story told on Reach with entirely new characters.

What do the books have to do with the identities of the silhouettes in the banner?

NO. Just no. The second from the left is most likely "Sierra (Spartan?) 320" from the trailer. Center is Sierra-259.

Yes, they do. But there are several problems with that., the main one being that John will not be in this game because he was fighting on Halo at the time. John never went planet-side until after most of the planet was glassed.

O.K., chief was on Reach during most of the battle, then left for Halo, then came back again

The Chief wasn't on Reach for any of the battle. He came back after Reach was all glassed except for one portion of the Highland Mountains. But that was after Halo 1 and this game is a prequal. Remember?

No he wasn't. He assigned Fred Red team leader, and sent him and all but two other Spartans to defend the power generators for the orbital MAC guns. Meanwhile, John, Linda and James had to go an orbital station that had failed to delete it's nav data core. During this mission, James went MIA and Linda was killed. John took Linda back to the Pillar of Autumn, and they both were put into cryo as the ship fled from Reach. Halo 1 takes place.

By the time of the battle of Reach, Grey team had been out of contact for a whole year. Cole protocole takes place during the early days of the Human-Covenant War.

What if all the figures shown above isn't known spartans. They can be pretty flexible with the characters the create.

Chances are Sierra-259 and possibly Sierra-320 are in the banner replacing John and Linda's place.
