Subject: Halo: Reach Health System

As we all know, In Halo ODST there are no shields but a "stamina" system and a health bar aswell (Sort of like Halo CE) and - in the books - when Reach is being over-run the Spartan IIs have just recieved their shielded MJOLNIR armour but will they have it in the game?

Basically, In Halo: Reach, will/should the Spartans have Shields (Halo 2/3), Shields and Health (Halo 1[CE], Stamina and health (Halo ODST) or just Health?

Might you start off the campaign with no shields and aquire them later in the campaign?

Your thoughts...

nobody knows what kind of health we'll have but we'll most likely have shields as soon as the game starts.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Well, basically Halo 3: ODST is not an online multi-player game, so things like getting a over-powered pistol, getting health back, losing shields, losing the BR, losing dual wielding is possible and a smart move.

While in an online multi-player game like Halo 3, you need certain things to maintain the fun of multi-player. Meaning rechargable shields, a good weapon (but not too good), no health (meaning no health packs, if you were to have health it would recharge).

Dual wielding is something we can part with, but shields aren't. Getting health and health packs is something that won't be happening in the multi-player aspect anyways.

It campaign who knows, but I'd say being consistent throughout your game is a good thing. So you wouldn't have one mission where you are no shields, then in another you have shields.

(This is just my opinion)

Awesome isn’t just a word. Awesome is a way of life. Awesome is a way of war. Teamwork matters the most. Lone Wolves jeopardize the missions. Teamwork is key. Resistance is futile. The covenant fear us, not the other way around. We don’t fight for Earth. We don’t fight for Reach. We fight for the good of mankind because we are A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Alpha Wolf Elite Squadron Ordinary Mammals Electrocuted. Click the Homepage.

Shields like halo 3,stamina like odst, and health like halo CE.
Each guage would be almost equal in size.In some levels, you start off with no shields and aquire them later.

Another possible option:

In the campaign, you start off with only "basic" shields and then later on they may get upgraded because of letting them run-in or something like that...

In campaign it can be however or both, whatever.

However, in multiplayer, I do want to recover my health fully without medpacks. It's just so wrong for a competitive game not to as it sort of trivializes skill a good deal. If I'm better than someone by a good amount, I should never lose in a head on head skirmish with these same weapons do to him just having more power going into the fight.

Ofcourse in muliplayer it will all have to be the same and the Shield with rechargable health will be a primary option
