nobody thinks it's the CHIEF (not cheif) ...

at best, people think it's one of the spartan that got blown into space, he was with MC and linda on the space station.

The ship.
Oh, the ship? We were talking about that other floating thing in the sky that could possibly be containing James...that potato thing!

So... People think that the broken in half ship in the Reach trailer represents the ship that the Chief was in, therefore they have definitive proof that the Chief will show up at Reach due to a time paradox and save the whole galaxy etc.

They're wrong. Because the Arbiter's half is in some scrap metal yard on Earth. The Chief is floating around in the other half. In conclusion, the Chief will not show up as his future self in Halo: Reach.

Boom. Roasted.

guys reach would be before halo combat evovled its the death of the majority of the spartans and they're final stand against the covenant the day that reach fell. thats my honest opinion atleast and it fits pretty good if you listen to the trailer and the sight of 5 spartans on the pics we get to see and at the end of the teaser

Just so you guys know, there are TWO bodies in that trailer. So for all we know... they are just random marines. That, or the lighting on a couple of ships which makes them appear to be bodies. I'm pretty sure that two spartan's didn't die in space at Reach. Either way, I doubt they are spartans at all. They are WAY too subtle to be of importance.

Hey, has anyone thought that maybe, the trailer is telling you basically what happened at Reach, and you play after Halo 3 in a destroyed Reach?
