Hey guys, I got ODST early and the dialoge from one of the characters went somthing like this(paraphrasing)
"Covenent basterds are trying to blow up the whole planet! It's like reach all over again!"

So... now we know that the covenent try to blow up earth in reach, it takes place on earth, and the characters in ODST were there or heard about it. But wait, there's more. If the year is 2552(or something), then Reach had to take place before ODST. Your welcome

Damn, sorry I didn't read Halo books? I thought the campaigns were boring enough.

  • 09.20.2009 3:30 PM PDT

Hmmmmm I think someone should read the book the fall of REACH

  • 09.20.2009 3:35 PM PDT

Well, I know the ending of Reach: the planet is glassed, the Spartans die, and the Master Chief flees to Halo aboard the Pillar of Autumn.

How do I know this? There's a book, genius.

  • 09.20.2009 3:35 PM PDT

Well Wolverfrog you would be wrong, Reach does get glassed but all the spartans don't "die",1. in the books all the spartans when dead or w/e the reason would be wrote in as M.I.A. to keep up Morale. 2. in the other books it clearly states that there ARE more spartans. How because in the other books Kelly, Kurt and a couple of other spartans are there. So Reaches ending is the planet is glassed and the chief And SOME spartans escape.

You say the campaign was boring (aka a waste of time + campaigns are mainly the story), yet you spend time trying to theorise the story and posting it, without researching the story.

mmk.

I meant that generally most of the Spartans die. And putting them down as MIA doesn't keep them alive. Also, I know that Fred, Linda, Kelly, Will, and some others made it to the ONI CASTLE Facility, where they were then rescued by the Master Chief. I also know that Kurt was still alive, overseeing the training of the Spartan III program.

I know my Halo, don't fret. I just didn't want to confuse the OP, who obviously knows nothing.

Yes, I know, I've read all the books. I know a lot of Halo canon, it's one of the reasons why my fan fictions are successful.
