To my misfortune, it seems like my Xbox Live days will be cut short during its prime. That means no online Halo 2 for me... :(
Here is what's happening: I am moving back to my country, Brazil, this August. I am going to attend college down there, and I'm extremely elated about that. I'm also sad, though, because I'm leaving behind a multitude a good friends. Many of my buddies are addicted to Halo as much as I am, and I will cherish the good times we had at those Lan parties *sigh*.
Anyway, they wanted me to make sure I took my Xbox and Xbox Live with me. My box is on the top of my checklist, and just to make sure, I called up the 1-800 Xbox number to check up on Xbox Live in South America. That's when I got stabbed in the heart.
The guy whom I talked to said that Microsoft does not provide XBL servives in South America. The reason for this, I do not know. To me, this does not make sense. Down in Brazil, high-speed internet is almost as popular as it is here in the US. Microsoft, why do you neglect us? We promise to teach Bill Gates how to play soccer if you provide XBL services to South America. Please>
But I think there is hope. Here is my idea:
Do you think that if I left my Xbox Live account activated here in the US, and I tried to access it from Brazil, do you think that would work? The service would still be coming from the US, except I would be accesing it from down there. I'm sure if it worked, it would be laggy, but I can live with that. I'd take lag over no Halo 2 any day of the year.
What do you guys think? I know this might not be a good way to start a first post, begging for help and all, but my situation is dire.
I refuse to believe my XBL days are over until it has been proven so. I hope my idea work...
Thank you for any help, guys.
Take care
