Need a dispenser here! Need a dispenser here! Need a dispenser here!

So everyone on the Halo forums just likes to gang -blam!- people who post their opinions and honest disappointment of a game, and claim that they have down-syndrome because of it; awesome.

Not so much as one person decided not to mock him, instead choosing to tell him to stop whining; after all you can't possibly have anything bad to say about the game otherwise you are just whining.

Hey everyone, if you are reading this youre probably stalking me. :p
Make sure to stop by my site which is:www.myh3filesenergy.webs.com.
PS: The site was recently created I promise you it will be amazing when its done.

Also, Thank you everyone for helping me out and for Downloading my File Share content.

Obviously you haven't played ODST since it doesn't appear in your Profile thingy.

Also if you do not like Halo why have you played over 3,665 and more to go? I though the game is horrible.
Quit whining, I know, everyone has a different opinion but seriously. No one cares, go to Ihatemylife.com if it exists or try to be an EMO and kill yourself with a spoon.

The hogwash was totally by design. Let's try to keep it civil folks. Not everybody's gonna like the game. And while we recognize that such opinions are in fact, terrible, we should let them desperately cling to them without getting all rude and angry about it.

:)
First, win. Second, maybe you should try playing Halo 3: ODST instead.

Just bought my pre-ordered copy of ODST tonight. Picked it up at 12:22 am and quickly drove it home to play. Already had friends lined up to do 4 player co-op. $60.00 for 3 new multiplayer maps that will be free in another 2 months, and a 5 hour campaign... That doesn't sound good I thought, but then this is Halo and we have all of the previous titles and loved each one. That list includes Halo Wars... Therefore I thought that this one has to be good. Long story short, the 4 of us all agreed that this is a terrible game which is chock full of shortcuts and unpolished hogwash. I plan to take my copy back to the store when it opens for my money back! Bungie - This is not worth $60.00 - not even close. This is a crappy game and that is coming from a Halo-fanboy. You guys lost a customer tonight. I won't buy another one of your titles. I am extremely disappointed by this game.

I love how some people thought that this would be another Halo game with ODST skins on the player models.

Cry me a river. And build the damn bridge so I can cross it.

Im not going to call out your rank, or your games played, or your most used weapon.

Instead I am simply going to say, take your trolling to another place. You sir, are the reason we can't have nice things. I don't really care you didn't like ODST, maybe you died too many times expecting it to be Halo 3.5. Maybe you forgot this isn't a DLC, its a self standing game, which offers more then some NEW IPs do at all.

Or, maybe you realized you have no friends, and just had to start a flamebait thread to get yourself some attention. I don't know, I really don't care. Just go find the razor and leave us be. K thanks? Bye.

Yeah it's not like he explained earlier that he was on another profile!

Also, way to make it seem like the OP is too dramatic about everything. It's 100% reasonable to be disappointed in a purchase, one at full retail value as well.

So, why don't you go to neglegentprickwhodoesntreadthethread.com and tell more people to kill themselves.

You best be trolling.
Or have down syndrome, either way.

For 60$, you get a game, a shatload of maps for free, some not even available otherwise. A new campaign. Firefight. The opportunity to unlock Recon. A free pass to the Reach Beta when its done.

And more.

Stop your whining.

Well, Halo 3 came with Campaign Mode, Matchmaking, Custom Games, Forge, and Theatre.

ODST comes with Campaign, Firefight, and all the Halo 3 Multiplayer Maps.

Both games at regular price were set at $60 plus tax.

Hmm...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say.

I can really see for both sides of the argument in this case.

For many people, it's a good deal because they like the campaign, enjoy firefight, and/or want to strive for the full gamerscore. It's also a good deal for many because they enjoy Halo 3 and want the new maps or didn't get all of the old ones. There are also those who are new to Halo, and may not have any desire for Halo 3's campaign.

But for many others, it isn't an optimal choice because they don't really like Halo, they don't enjoy survival modes, or they don't care for achievements, campaign, or maps. I don't really agree with this point of view, but I understand it.

For me personally, ODST is great. I played my old Halo 3 until it was worn down to dust and I miss my multiplayer. I also love Firefight and the campaign. ODST is just what I needed.

  • 09.23.2009 4:05 PM PDT

meh I thought ODST was awsome, great campaign, firefights gonna keep me occupied for a while and some new halo maps, im glad I spent every penny.

  • 09.23.2009 4:34 PM PDT

The game was good, but not $60 good. I finished it in 5 hours! WTF. That was a short game. And what about firefight? None of my friends have the game yet and I am SOL cause there is no matchmaking mode for firefight. I'm pretty ticked about that one.

To say that you didnt like the game is fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion...but to say that Bungie lost a customer and that you wont buy another one of their titles is a little ridiculous. It just a game. Get over it and start getting excited for the next one.

You said it yourself, youre a "halo-fanboy"...you know youll be back for Reach.

What I have noticed is that people who started their Halo experience playing Halo 3 multiplayer, or even in extremely rare cases, Halo 2 multiplayer, do not like this game.

Basically they are just multiplayer fanboys who can't handle different mechanics or feeling like a noob.

I'd confidently say that the majority of those of us who started out with Halo CE back when it first came out appreciate ODST for what it is.

Personally, I bought ODST for ODST. I doubt I'll even use the second disk at all.

The one problem is the people who did that needed to get ODST for the map packs.

I started playing halo 2 multi-player, by the way so I guess I fit your stereotype.

Also I disagree, I don't think they don't like feeling like a noob (if you play Halo 3 at a General skill level/Brigadier maybe), this campaign should generally be a breeze.

Its because there is no major competitive MP element. Luckily I think the campaign is better or I would be upset. Halo 3's campaign I only beat for achievements.

over one game your quitting halo jesus kid you dont appreciate ODST at all. i love how basically everyone is bashing halo odst now its ridiculous im amazed that bungie could cough out a game in a year that is better than halo 3 in every way. i think they found a great balance in weaponry and in health. the graphics are improved on greatly and even the vehicles were tweaked a bit mainly the warthog. i really do think this is bungies best game yet and cant wait to see what will carry over to reach. (love the new view on the warthog turret)

M Man

Everyone is intitled to their opinion, however, there is no need to whine on the forums saying how much you dislike the game.

You just summed it up exactly.

Competitiveness and achievements. That is all that the current generation of gamers seem to care about.

Bungie made this game as it is. People need to quit expecting it to be what they want it to be.

Seriously, check this out.

I thought it was fun for the 8 hours of gameplay on Heroic. I still have to do it on Legendary, get the Vidmasters, and play some firefight.

I don't know if it was worth 60 bucks, 30 or 40 would seem more fair. But it was fun...

Exactly. This game is a great throwback to Halo CE's gameplay. You can't jump as high, you run slower, you die faster, you have health again, and the BR has been split into the new SMG and magnum (my favorite addition).

Firefight is so addicting I've barely played campaign at all. I don't see what's not to be liked. If you haven't played firefight yet and you're not convinced, go play it now.

Well some people are just naturally competitive and I think if your an MP fan, you have to consider whether ODST is the right decision. I'm competitive at school and games etc.

However, I think, the vast majority of people who don't like are just not going to purchase ODST, rather then complain. I suppose that fits in not expecting it to be what they want it to be.

So far ODST seems like the best Halo campaign I have played, the one thing for cutting the MP is that the campaign actually seems to be good. However, I would have liked a competitive ODST MP, that would have made it a "complete package".

But I understood what I was buying, and I bought ODST mainly because I've been playing Halo for 4 years now.
