OK so here's what we know
It is NOT the disc
It is affecting both NEW AND OLD 360's
It MAY be a coding issue
It MAY Be a hardware problem.
Im thinking it may have to do with the DVD drives, now before you jump to conclusions, let me finish my thought.
While this is spread accross newer and older xbox's ranging from 2006 to 2009, some of the parts may be similar (DVD reader, heat syncs, graphics chips etc.)
If everyone who's currently posted in this thread would humor me and message me with their Xbox info (year, model, weither or not ODST works partially, fully or not at all) I want to see if there's any shared parts so we can nail this down to being a coding issue on the disc, or if it really is a hard ware problem or both, and then pass it along to Test Ninja or other bungie staff, to help cut down on time between a fix, and... us sitting on our hands.
Thanks for humoring me.
EDIT: Also let me know if your console was a replacment from Microsoft, or bought from a store.
MFR date: 2006-03-13
Disc drive: Hitachi-LG (worked for the past 3 years and still trucking... except for this single game :( )
Works partially. By that, I mean sometimes it loads, but most of the time I get the error.
Bought from a store. Never sent to be repaired since it hasn't caused me trouble yet. Good boy.
