I just checked on XBOX.com, and they are DEFINITELY sended out replacement consoles. Hey, at least they will be quick turn-arounds! Maybe even Jaspers!

Here's something bizarre: the first UPS tracking label I got had a number that was already used. When I called to get another one (another hour on the phone) they gave me another one: ALSO ALREADY USED.

Anyone else experiencing this? I don't know what to do except pay for the shipping myself!

They were clueless. Both the 1800 number and the driver who actually refused to take it. But I am guessing because the previous delivery info is identical for both tracking numbers, it might be okay.

Both claim to have been delivered to "shpkeeper" June of this year at 2:30pm. System issue, error, or working as intended? No idea.

Xbox support didn't seem to know what to make of it either, I think I'm just going to ship it to the same place with a label I buy myself, just for peace of mind.

are you printing from the xbox site or are they e-mailing the label to you? If you go to xbox.support.com, there is a place to put in your ref# and get a ship label. I would say it is worth it to pay the shipping if nothing else works. It is only 8 pounds or so.

Yeah, that's where I keep getting the flawed labels. BTW: 8lbs of Xbox sent via UPS is roughly 11 dollars ground (the normal way) 40 dollars 2 day, and 60+ 1 day in case anyone was considering upgrading shipping to get their console back faster.

Yeah, my UPS tracking said the same thing up until 5 CST on Tues. It seems I will get my xbox on Wed (still less than a week from when I dropped it off @ UPS). I wonder if the Microsoft repair center is closed on Mondays?

It's been 6 days since I called. No shipping label. And when I go to the website to see the repair status, there's no print shipping label button. Plus, it doesn't even recognize my SR# or my zip code if I'm signed in. Only when I'm signed out.

Time for another phone call.

EDIT: -blam!-, it's 3-5 BUSINESS days. How did I miss that? Nevermind then. Have to wait until tomorrow.

My shipping label was previously used also - I sent it out and tracking it in the UPS app, it's still two days from TX but it's on its way - prepaid. I suspect that MS reuses the shipping labels and from talking to my local UPS carrier (who delivers stuff to me from amazon.com quite frequently - lol) says that this is normal for large companies. Wouldn't worry about it as long as they take it at the UPS center it's going to make it to the repair center in my opinion. So far so good for my package.

I called Friday, and I have yet to recieve my UPS label in the mail. They probably could've fixed it by now if my 360 wasn't still sitting here at my house. For anyone else that has yet to call for repairs, see if you can opt to get a prepaid label through e-mail.

Got my Xbox back today. It is a brand new box, built in May of 09. SHINY.

I haven't booted up yet, but I can't imagine there being a problem with it.

Works like a charm, and quiet as a mouse. I did have to spend about 30 minutes with LIVE updates and going through all the settings.
Hold on just a little longer guys, redemption is on the way!

Yes my nephews console did, quite a large one apparently based on the download time... mine's on the way to the shop, probably have to d/l it when I get it back...

According to the Update message (at the end of Spotlight), the update was adding functionality for the Wireless-N device MS is coming out with...
