Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

This was inspired by Wolverfrog's Memoirs of an ODST. Thanks for such an amazing fan fic, and an ongoing stroy which fails to disappoint me.

Introduction

I joined the ODSTs for the same reasons as anyone else I guess.

Revenge.

Action.

Adventure.

But it wasn't until I joined that I discovered the horrors of war. The nightmares that crept up on me in my sleep, or the painful thoughts that lingered in my head. The same dreams that will haunt me for the rest of my life. The same thoughts that cloud my mind.

The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers isn't cut out for just anyone, only the craziest, most insane people enlist. When I joined, I had been seventeen. Too young for regulations to permit, but we were in a two-front war. One with the Inssurectionists, and one with our greater foe, the Covenant, so the UNSC was taking anyone.

Some people call us heroes, others, insane. In a way, I guess we're both.

I'm Dmitri Lions, or, as my fellow ODSTs call me, "Wilderbeast,".

And I've seen the hells of war.

Subject: [Story] Halo: The Hells of War (introduction) - Thanks Wolverfrog

I didn't even know you still read Memoirs. And you don't need to put "Thank you Wolverfrog", it's great you were inspired but I don't need credit. I mean, I was inspired to start writing by Maxrealflugel's epilogue, but I give my thanks to him by reading his stories.

Anyway, good introduction, I really need to touch up the first few parts of Memoirs to be honest.

Keep it up. And give all the ODSTs code names; real names make it boring and confusing. One of the good things about Memoirs is that I can very, very easily remember all the names.

Pretty good :) But I do think you could polish it up a little. You used insane twice in close proximity which is a picky observation, but if you can find another word like nuts to sub for insane, that would do. I eagerly wait for more :D
