Meh, they seem alright. But the first weapon, the giant needler, already exists.
It's called a heavy needler. While they're only seen on turrets and vehicles in Halo Wars, one of the books hints towards a and held version. Nevertheless, no one really knows what it does except that it excels at taking down vehicles.
By the way, there isn't really any negotiation with the name. It's the Heavy Needler, it's not gonna change.
The part about a heavy needler is true. It was in Halo Wars and was called a heavy needler. However, the infantry weapon is different and more mobile. I don't think the name Light Heavy Needler will catch on. There has to be a middle ground.
Yeah, the mobile version was called a Heavy Needler too. Like how Banshees bombs, AA-Wraith cannons and Fuel Rod cannons are all pretty much the same weapon, just mounted differently. In the end, they're still collectively known as the fuel rod cannon, no matter whether it's vehicle mounted or hand-held.
But do we call all of them the fuel rod cannon? No. They fire the same ammo the same way, but the way they are mounted lets us call them different things, like banshee bomb.
