Thank you, Captain K Mart.
Ideally, at any given point, you would have three guys circulating around the complex with choppers. The fourth will be running around inside.
The trick with choppers is three-fold:
a) get in the choppers as soon as possible
b) don not destroy any choppers; whenever you have an extra, store it in the room with the laser- you'll need them
c) focus mostly on brutes in the earlier levels, eventually just kill everything, though
The last guy floats around in the complex. That was me, and I always ran around with a laser (to be used only for wraiths, and fuel rod gun chieftains later on) and an auto-mag. But whenever buggers would come, I would drop the laser temporarily for a SMG, the best weapon to take care of them IMHO. Use the auto-mag to kill jackals (perfect the two shot on shielded jackals) and grunts. Ignore brutes and hunters- that's why you have choppers.
Also, as a side note, there is only one wraith that you need to focus on with the laser, and that's the one that spawns on the "hill" (you'll know what I mean if you know the map). This is because the choppers can easily destroy the others simply by staying a ways away, and then moving forward and backward to dodge each shot. However, like everything else, later (specifically with the Tilt skull), the wraiths won't die from choppers and you'll need to use the laser on all of them. They're almost always a one hit kill until later, then it is imperative to aim for the cockpit to get the one shot kill.
If choppers aren't available (and trust me, towards the end they will be rare), anyone without one should stay inside. But if you're feeling confident, you can use the warthog. The key is to stay moving. I would only suggest this if you have plenty of lives, though.
Make sure you communicate- say how many lasers you've got left, ask if there's extra choppers, say if there's an abandoned one outside somewhere, ask if you need to laser something. Just say EVERYTHING
I just typed this up. This is my guide to getting Endure on Lost Platoon. It worked first try, quite well. I was the laser guy, and I agree completely with your segment about the laser guy.
If you want to post this that would be fine.
