Me and pope dominated in hog before the game crapped out on us. And for the record, Alpha site is 10 times easier than Lost Platoon.
I'm a noob though, I've only really ever played Alpha Site. I need to get out more.

actually, you dont even need to follow this guide. just play on wind ward, its insanely easy. me and my friends were just playing along for the first 2 sets and then we decided to get vidmaster, and hey look we got it. live and learn, you dont need a complete guide to figure out how to get it. just a few tips. its not fun if you read a guide on how to do something, then its not an "achievement". unless youre like super obsessed with recon...
We'll be changing the focus of this thread to "High-scoring methods." We'll score high on each level and write up our strat for how to rack up the points.

Very nice guide. After reading, I only have one additional tip that I can think of: when going for splatters in the Chopper, start your boost from far away. If you don't, the enemy will just roll out of harm's way.

i'll be printing these trips to use when i try firefight tonight

you might want to consider my killionaire strat on alpha site (when you get there). I got a killpocalypse and a killionaire, and our team ended up with 88,000 bonus points in one round!

Hmmm, I prefer 2 people in Choppers to a Hog Driver/Gunner, but whatever works for you guys. Less "investment" in 2 Choppers because if you get stuck repeatedly (like when Catch is on) you'll only burn 1 life instead of 2 if you were in a Hog. Plus, you can easily string together long splatter sprees in the Chopper which dramatically increase points.

Plus, having 4 people in Choppers during the Bonus round equals a ton of points. We played Lost Platoon last night and ran 4 choppers during a bonus round and ended up with over 100K point in just the bonus.

The hardest battles come in waves of Buggers. In those cases, I can see the Hog being more advantageous than Choppers.

Good guide.

....whut?

After mythic turns on, it's better to have 2 choppers driving around instead of a hog. It just takes way too long to kill brutes with this skull on. Choppers get it done much faster, and there isn't too much added risk if you're good with 'em.

I got the achievement yesterday with 3 choppers and a laser user. At one point we had 32 extra lives. It only ended because someone needed to get off so we all died repeatedly.

To handle black-eye, just work together to isolate grunts/jackals, hop out, melee, and get back in.

It took us just over 2 hours to get the achievement.

Two important things to remember:
- Your character is a result of your conduct.
- Sense of humour trumps common sense everytime.

Great job on the guide guys. Very nice.

This is an awesome guide. I played a 2.5-hour game of Firefight last night on Lost Platoon, but we were not trying for Vidmaster: Endure. We only had 3 players in our party, and for the two who were not me, it was their very first time playing Firefight (they play H3 Matchmaking all the time though).

We very quickly fell into these same roles that you describe, except that our use of the Warthog was limited -- with only three players in the match, we quickly found that choppers allowed us to attack from two sides at once and also to support our laser guy.

All the same, when I do go for VM:Endure, I will be following this guide, and almost certainly doing it on Lost Platoon.

*Thread Saved*
=( Not even gonna stop by my thread...oh well. If you are a vehicle fan, Lost Platoon is the map to play, but TEAMWORK is CRITICAL (can't be stressed enough). If you are more of an infantry person (and don't want to have to worry about vehicles), then Alpha Site is the way to be.

I wish there were some way to get more people to view your thread jacen.

Practice makes perfect! On my first try at lost platoon (I failed) I didn't even make it to the second round, I got overwhelmed, run over by a chopper, blasted by wraiths and I didn't even know where the laser spawn was x_x

After some practice runs I got used to how the enemies behave on lost platoon; I lasered the wraiths; hijacked brute choppers by baiting them and disabling them with a charged plasma pistol shot and managed to get to the second set today (happy, woot).

I still need more practice still: I need to get better at surviving blackeye rounds and i've only played one bonus round and I charged the grunts in a chopper and died instead of shooting them with a carbine or something XD

It's like a retard riding a bicycle while eating hot wings.
Sometimes you have to take the bike seat off to really enjoy it.

Why is there a guide for this?
It's not hard, I did it on my first try.
