this is probably a stupid question, but what do you guys think about the current ranking system? keep it the same? be able to get a 50 in each playlist?

Yes, but it should be harder to rank up like in Halo 2:

10 - horrible
20 - decent
30 - good
40 - great
50 - could be a professional (paid to play for your skill) if you wanted

Also for the EXP, you should earn points in each match. Things like winning would give you massive points; maybe half an EXP for a win. Then you'd get smaller increments of points for things like kills, assists, flag caps, bomb arms, etc. to make it so people who do better for the team would logically get more points than others on the team who may go negative or may never go for the flag. Even if you're on the losing team you would rack up points toward your next EXP.

it should be alot harder to level up, in halo 2 30 was pretty good, in halo 3 30 is bad. 50 is still a good rank to go up to so that needn't be changed. also i hope in matchmaking there is much less reliance on the flawed trueskill system and more on the rank itself, it makes sense, 50's go against 50's and 20's go against 20's.
