Subject: What i want in the next Halo game*dont let meh die i want your opinion

I've been reading in a lot of places that people want fast, agile, and acrobatic Spartans like the ones described in the book. So i have an interesting idea for this! What if you could press a direction on the d-pad that would switch you into two different modes. One mode will the the traditionally Halo 3 mode we all know and love but the second would allow you to run faster, dodge, and do all the fun acrobatic stuff that you want to do.

features of the new mode:

1. You can run faster

2. You put your gun on your back so you can't use it

3. However you can still punch and you could even have a whole new hand to hand combat system that makes melee seem more realistic.

4. You can hurdle low walls, and jump higher

5. You can still hijack vehicles

6. There is a button the makes you jump quickly to the left or right

You can also carry this mode over to costume games. You should be able to chose which mode people spawn in and if they can change between the modes or not. This would be great for zombie games because you will then have fast zombies that can jump, run fast, and stuff, but can only melee. Also if you don't like the 'speed' mode you could have everyone spawn in the traditional control scheme we have now and make it so they can't switch over into the new mode.

Even in traditional game modes this would add a new level of strategy as people quickly run to gain control of certain areas of the map early in the game.

So tell me what you guys think. How can I improve this idea?

*I will continue to update this with any other ideas i can think of and fix errors if need be*

Subject: Interesting idea for Halo Reach or any Halo game.

I think Halo more like Mirror's edge would be cool with mayb not all the moves but many of em

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Spartans arent so much acrobatic as clever. They don't run around doing jump flips and whatnot like in Halo Wars (great game, plot failed though, they broke canon, and were practically sucking big throbbing UNSC... well you get it.)

They are more impulsive thinkers, able to quickly analyze a situation, and given the strength and ability to act in whatever way necessary. They aren't fancy, they just get the job done.

This is why I think acrobatics mode is not a great idea.

okay well it doesn't have to be extreme acrobatics but there is no reason why they can't run faster, hurdle over low walls and such and be able to jump higher, further. There was a scene in the book were one spartan jumped to the roof of a one story building why can't we do this in game?

If you have read the books then you know that the Spartans were very agile and acrobatic. Kelly was insanely fast compared to the other Spartans, and they were already super fast compared to the humans.

Thats what I dont get about ODST...you run super fast while holding a gun turret. Maybe its just this game but it seems to me that you move faster altogether and ODST than as the MC.

anyway that was off topic...lol

I'm sure you run faster in ODST for balancing issues. Since you don't have much of a shield you have to be able to move faster to compensate otherwise you would die every time you picked up a turret.

This is a bad idea.

Spartans already CAN jump super high and run super fast. Your asking too much. Is Halo awesome? Yes. Do all changes go for the better? No.

that is a good idea.
MY friend and i discussed no to long ago. HAlo should move more swiftly and add motions such as a cool dive, and more acrobactic tpe moovents, not just, walk run and shoot
