I do not need a sig...you'll know it was me

I'd quite like to see some changes to the HUD in Reach. Every halo game has had a new HUD but i've got some ideas which i'd like you to comment on and tell me if there good or if i'm being crazy.

First of all i'd like to see the compus we have on ODST in reach, it's helpfull for point enemy locations.

Second, cams on the helmets which we could use to see what other people see. Have like a little display in the bottom right corner, and be able to cycle through other team mates and switch it off to stop it from becoming annoying.

Third, i'd like the spartans to have the VISR system that the ODSTs have, how come they didn't get it anyway? Or at least some IR vision.

Forth, (this isn't to do with the HUD but still vision based) i'd like the head bobing feature from ODST to be kept in Reach. I't made me feel more like I was the ODST as apose to someone controling a remote control robot.

So those are my ideas, what do you all think?

1 : don't care, don't mind.

2 : it'd cause lag and drain a lot of power to display something totally independant from you WHILE you are playing.

3 : because they don't need it. they're (supposedly) able to see in the dark and have a x5 reaction time.

4 : you spelt fourth wrong :p and I agree.

My name is from Star Wars. Now you know.

Feel free to follow me on my twitter and stalk me.

That much stuff would make the HUD WAY too cluttered. That would take up a lot of space. That much junk all in one would make the developers slam their faces into their computers.

Also, SPARTANs don't need VISRs because they kills alienz and dusn't afrade of anythings.

hud does need improvement... head bobbing = epic yes. also, seeing the inside of the helmet would be cool... bungie is trying to break up the hard-lines at the edge of the screen, as the abrupt change from image to tv reminds you its a game(see unreal tournament)

The Spartans aren't given VISR capabilities because of a couple reasons, including both story necessity, and game capabilities.

First off, at the time that Halo 3 was in development, creating a VISR mode for a Spartan would have been a near-impossible feat. The resources to create it weren't available, and given their schedule, it would have been too large of a time allocation.

Secondly, Spartans have never really been introduced to very dark nighttime settings. Halo 1, 2, and 3 all had some dark parts throughout the Campaign, but everything was easy to see.

one: no compass (correct spelling btw) it pays to explore the level, not just lead you to the next objective like it does in ODST

two: no cams, it's just stupid and takes you out of the action more.... go look for your teammates, or stick with them in the first place.

three: Maybe it was develpoed just for the ODST helmet.... besides, Reach is BEFORE ODST...

four: your only good point... camera movement based on the body's movement would be nice and a great way to bring the player into the game more....

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

I'd like to see the Compass, a VISR/Low light vision mode and Head-bobbing.

I don't think that seeing other peoples screens is important though, and would probably cause large amounts of lag.

Upon reflection it would cause lag, I was just hoping for a way of being able to work well as a team when people don't use mics or are in party chat.

Thank you for noting my spelling error, god forgive me for missing 1 letter...

I've got a fan!

I was amazed Spartans didn't have some sort of VISR offshoot. All this talk in the books of low light abilities, zooming, etc. should have been put into Halo 1-3.
