I like Halo, It kills all sentinel life with sufficient bio-mass... and doesn't afraid of anything.

A story dealing with the elites leaving the covenant would be amazing, if handled properly of course.

I think Bungie could handle a Covenant story well. In fact, it's probable they've already considered this. I'd really like to see the creation of a Covenant game, hopefully threads like this can get Bungie to see how badly we want one.

Phoenix is dead, long live Phoenix!
Is it?

I'd love it.

Agreed. Though, judging by how secretive Bungie is, they may already have something in the works...

Very true Bungie is very good about keeping things secret. In fact for all we know they may have made one and are testing it!! But I doubt it, (even though it would be awesome if they were.) Think of how cool it would be to drive a scarab and try to keep Spartans from destroying it. It would be epic to say the least.

Work? Quite possibly, though I'm certain many people will Nerd Rage because they aren't playing as UNSC.

Fun? Yes indeed. Of course, as I previously mentioned, many people in the Halo fanbase will Nerd Rage because they aren't playing as UNSC.

I do believe that the major reason why people didn't like playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2 was because they weren't playing as MC blowing up the Covenant.

I dont see why people not being the UNSC so much. I mean, there great and all, but who hasnt wanted to see the Covenants perspective of the Halo events.

You wonder why the Arbiter in Halo 3 was at best a meat shield with no real relevance to the plot?

Not playing as MC in Halo 2 all the time is the answer.

Yeah thats very true, i hate that the Elites story took a backseat to be the proverbial punching bag of Halo 3

  • 09.27.2009 3:51 PM PDT

It all depends on whether bungie can pull it off in a new way, because halo 3 and 2 could've been alot better, but just didn't quite meet the expectations of the world, and didn't live up to the hype, and now call of duty is taking over the gaming world. i am for it, but it all depends on how well bungie accomplishes it.

US Army Medic

I would love a campaign as an elite, not some retarded chimp.

  • 09.27.2009 3:58 PM PDT

I would imagine it as a game with multiple classes. It would encompass playable characters such as Grunts, Brutes, Elites, Jackals, Drones, and Hunters.

-Grunts would play as really weak characters with many special abilities such as suicide charges.

-Brutes would act as head on combatants.

-Elites would play stealthily.

-Jackals would have the ability to see through walls and sense enemies from far away, allowing them to dodge bullets easier.

-Hunters would act as demolition like characters that depend heavily on their bond brother.

-Drones would act as weak, airborne characters that repair mechanical equipment. They could also abduct enemies ala the Crow's Nest section in Halo 3.

I like the idea like in call of duty when every level or so you can be a new character/class. if Bungie did this we could use every class instead of focusing on just one.

  • 09.27.2009 6:48 PM PDT

that was my idea.. but it also would be cool if you can play as a totally new Coveanat race along with all the other races in the universe already.

  • 09.27.2009 7:01 PM PDT

i also would love the game.. it would just be so fun to play..

Yeah a new race of aliens would be cool. However I don't think there are any other races in the Halo universe I know of. But I havent read the books so I am no expert. Does anybody that has read the books know if there are other Covenant races?? This would be interesting to play as a race that has never been seen in previous Halos.

What do you mean "before the Brutes and Elites joined together?" The Brutes were in the Covenant long before Halo 1. Long before Halo 1. Long before Reach. Long before the Covenant first encountered humanity (2525).

I'm saying maybe before the two groups joined forces maybe they fought against each other or other races. I realize they were teamed up before they met the humans. Like stated earlier I am by no means a Halo expert, it's simply a concept I was thinking of.

My Gamertag is Mr Naughty Body.

I may be short, but my heart is tall.

I don't really think it would work out that great. I practically had to force myself to play as the Arbiter in Halo 2, and in the books, when the story broke off and focused on the Conenant were the worst parts in my opinion.

I'd like to see a game where you actually fought the UNSC though. That could be cool if done right.

Big Team Battle Multiflag/Slayer on Standoff/Valhalla/Sandtrap/Avalanche = Win

If we ever play as elites, we better get a chance to fight some Spartans, now that will be a mega challenge.

That's the one thing I'm worried about is that people don't want to be the Covenant. But like the person above me, I think it would be fun to fight humans and Spartans from the Covenant standpoint. I also have a lot of faith that if Bungie did make a game like this that it would be awesome and possibly be as successful as the Halos from human perspective are now
