Okay, everyone here has played Big team Battle in H3, and one of the things which make that playlist cool is the interaction among the players, the vehicles and the weapons.

So, let's say that reach could have 12 vs 12 gametypes, so vehicles are obviously there, but we would need larger maps, but NOT larger vehicles. Because I think fighting scorpions isn't funny as fighting warthogs or ghosts because you can destroy them with rockets, stickies, lasers etc.

So here is my opinion: Reach should have more vehicles, not larger ones, the largest vehicle whic would fit there possibly could be a pelican or a phantom (with only a turret).

Example : Instead of scorpions we could see three warthogs per team, and I thing the experience of having to coordinate a squad of warthogs (or fighting them) would be funnier than having a tank and just shoot everywhere.

*Thanks if you read the post*

Opinions?

on standoff, ONE warthog with a good driver gunner combo can lay waste (literally) to the enemy team and never get killed once if the same team have the laser. and the game ends up with a good 50-10 at best.

and you'd like to fight THREE hogs?

Yeah, you're right, but the other team could use a laser or rockets, and let's remember that the other team would have three warthogs, too

I hate standoff because I go in social slayer alone most of the time and if I see the enemy team is one big group I know I'm doomed. their team will catch all the vehicle destroying weapons and let the hogs maw us.

the problem would be how the map is designed. either each team has a laser (a la sandtrap) and the hogs are doomed and you'll get your 6 to 9 kills, or it's like standoff with one laser and if your team don't catch the laser then you know you are going negative.
and sure you have 3 hogs... but if the enemy has the laser and 3 hogs too, unless the man behind the laser sucks and you can focus the 3 hogs on one enemy warthog at one time then it's not going to help much (see : standoff problem again).

sorry for the long post

the only problem with warhogs is they are too dam hard to take out without a lazer / rocket / pod missile. they need to make it a bit more like halo 1. a perfectly placed grenade and BAM, bye bye warhog. as it stands now your lucky to flip a warthog with a nade, let alone destroy one. personally i think ALL vehicles need a tweak, not damage-wise, they are vehicles after all, but defensibly (not sure if that's a word :P) they are just too overpowered (all but the hornet in my opinion)

warthog: 1 (maybe 2) well placed grenades and its gone. ONE sticky, ANYWHERE on the hog and it should be destroyed.

banshee: from what i see the banshee is a FLIGHT vehicle, hard to believe i know, the amount of people that spend more time on the ground splatting everything that moves, then in the air. this needs to be SEVERELY weakened, if you plow into the ground, you should blow up... if you crash into a tree or a cliff face, you should blow up.. and honestly i think if the power drainer or plasma pistol hits it, it should fall the the ground AND BLOW UP, if you have the skill to hit a banshee with either a plasma pistol or a powerdrainer you deserve to kill it, the amount of times i've hit one with one of these and it just shoots past, flips around on the ground for a FEW SECONDS then shoots straight back into the sky as if nothing happened. worse vehicle for balance in my opinion.

chopper: quite a balanced vehicle but mainly because of the maps they are on i think (have plenty of anti vehicle weapons)dont really have anything bad to say about this one, yes its powerful but its not the easiest thing to control.

ghost: REMOVE THE BOOST make it slightly fast if needed but for god sake remove the boost, people use it as more of a bumper car, i swear there are some people that don't know it has guns on it and like the warthog defence needs to be toned down a LITTLE bit, they wouldnt be too bad to take out if they had no damn boost, bring back the halo 1 ghost please :D (hold a to not get sniped in the head from in front :D) oh and bring back the petrol (i guess it would be plasma :P) tank, 1 shot on that and ghost is gone, like with halo 2 :)

hornet: in my opinion this needs upgrading, the guns are too weak and it should have rockets (NOT homing rockets like campaign) yes ok you can hover with it but thats an easy target for anyone who can use a rocket launcher or a lazer.

mongoose: no real problem with this, it serves it's purpose :P if anything make it easier for you to splat someone on it, the amount of times i've 'bounced' off someone while going full speed into them, its beyond a joke now...

tank: yes its a tank, should be powerful, hard to take out but i think it should be possible to take off the hatch where the driver is with a nicly placed grenade, rocket or even a few sniper / BR shots (maybe 4 snipe shots?) so its possible to snipe out the driver like the good old halo1 days :)

wraith: pretty balanced as it is, powerful, but hard to use, got no problems with it.

prowler: seems ok, maybe make the gun a bit more powerful or accurate (maybe both?) as it is now the warthog REALLY out powers it.

thats my view on the vehicles in halo3, hopefully a few of these (or similar) changes will come in halo reach :)
