Marty's style of music has always been relative to the main character and the current events. In the first 3 games, there's the usual monk piece that everyone can relate to Halo. Now in ODST, Marty made up a nice theme with the sudden inclusion of the sax which changed the music and feel dramatically. Almost nothing of the previous Halo games made it's way into ODST's music. Now, with Reach, we've got a more busy, more involved version of a familiar Halo 2 and Halo 3 piece. The track can be heard here. Try listening close at around :30-:50 you can hear a bit of the classic Halo monk theme that we're used to along with the familiar Halo 2 and 3 piece some of you may be able to recognize.
This says that several things are or may be involved. A. Chief is most likely involved, B. Forerunner story may be involved like in the previous games unlike in ODST where there is almost no Forerunner mentioning or C. Those pieces are related to the Spartans.
I know you may just think you read this all for nothing but Marty's music can help us understand what this game is truly about. I'm surprised not many people have analyzed this (Yes I've used the searchbar). So anyhow. That's my thought on things. Either way, I have a feeling I'm gonna like this game ;)
