Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

This is an origninal story, and is not a fan-fic to anything in any way. All of the characters, plots, and ideas belong to me, LIL Smurf DOGG.

Part One - Siblings

Waverly Newmen closed shut her seventh grade sciene textbook, and sighed in relief. She was oficially done with homework for the next three months. She had all of summer to enjoy, after tomorrow's last day of school. She lay there on her bed for a few minutes, then grabbed her agenda which resided within the top drawer of her desk.

Opening it, she read the first thing she had planned for the summer. Visiting her Aunt and Uncle, Cody Newmen and Annie Newmen. She had never been to their house before, and wasn't loath to admit that she was excited. Shutting the agenda, she placed it back in her drawer, then stepped into the hallway. She stopped out of her brother Zach's room, then knocked, letting herself in uninvited.

He had been sitting at his desk, scribbling something onto notebook paper, which he quickly hided once he noticed his sister.

"What?" he snapped.

"What was that?" asked Waverly.

"Nothing. Just my homework." he insisted.

"Don't lie, let me see." Waverly pursued, stepping closer. Zach held the paper away from her as she made a lung for it.

"Why do you care, anyways?" Zach questioned.

"Why are you hiding it from me?" his sister retorted.

"I have my reasons. What are you, an interrogater now?"

"Fine. Whatever, I don't care anyway." Waverly said innocently, then walked towards the door, and out of the room. After a few seconds, Zach pulled out the piece of paper, then continued to jot down on it. Waverly hastily ran into the room, snatched the paper, and read it.

"Hey!" Zach yelled, reaching for the paper his older sister had taken. He watched in embarrasment as a smile spread across her face.

"A love letter?" she asked, trying to refrain from laughing.

"Give it to me!" Zach snapped, snatching it back.

"Why are you embarassed? I think it's cute. Especially the part where you compared her to a field of flowers." Waverly mocked.

Zach flushed. "Oh yeah? Well it's not as exciting as the things I've read in your diary."

Waverly's smile faded. "You're lying." she claimed.

"Am I? What was that guy's name on page twenty-six... Brandon? He seemed really dreamy, the way you described him. I was tempted to fall in love with him myself."

Waverly's face grew red, as she bristled with anger. "You read that?" she exclaimed.

"And a bunch of other stuff." Zach smiled, glad that the embarassment had been taken off of his shoulders.

"Wait till I tell mom." Waverly threatened.

"Wait till I tell her about page thirty-two." Cody remarked.

Waverly's mouth opened and closed as she attempted and abandoned all the possible responses. Then, she finally decided to reply by stomping out of the room. Zach let out a satisfying laugh as he watched his sister leave the room in anger.

Once back in her own room, Waverly dug between the matress where she kept her diary, and moved it to a safer location underneath her folded clothes on the top of her closet shelf. A few moments later, a knock came to her door. "Who is it?" Brianna asked.

"Mom. Dinner's ready," came the response.

"I'll be right down." Waverly promised, then shut her closet doors, and walked out of her room towards the dinner table.

**********

At the dinner table, Zach shuffled the food around his dinner plate as he tried to avoid eating the vegetables.

"You guys excited about summer?" Dad asked, stuffing meatloaf into his mouth.

"Yeah!" Zach exclaimed. "I've never been to Aunt Annie's and Uncle Cody's before. I bet their place is pretty awesome, considering all the cool presents they get us for Christmas. They must be loaded!"

"How bout you, Waverly?" her mother asked.

"I think it'll be fun. I like Uncle Cody and Aunt Annie."

"Glad you two are looking forward to it tonight. And by the way, Zach, you'll have to go to bed early tomorrow." Dad informed.

Zach frowned. "C'mon, it'll be summer! Why can't I stay up?"

"Because we're going to Cody and Annie's house early, it's a six hour drive, and I want to be there by four."

"Fine." Zach resigned, slumping in his chair.

"Now," said Mom. "Who wants to do the dishes?"

Zach immidiately left the table unesxcused, in the means of saving himself from a boring chore. Waverly volunteered with a sigh. She had always been the more disciplined child, unlike her rebel of a brother Zach. Though she was thirteen, and he was only twelve, he could be a handful sometimes.

Waverly smiled to herself, as she thought about the fun she might have at her Aunt and Uncles. Little did she know the trouble that would unravel there, and the discovery she would soon uncover.

No non Halo fiction allowed in the Bungie Gallery forum. And jeez, stick to one story please. Seriously.

Yeah, I have serious OCD. Lol. But I'll be sticking to this one... and no non-halo fan fiction is aloud? That's a shame... I'll just keep adding onto it until told otherwise... I really hope I'm not intruding too much, though.

My main problem with not sticking to one story is the plot, which I can never seem to do in Halo fan-fics. Eh. I'm still a novice writer, I'll learn. I apologize for the contstant new threads I post... I'm ashamed to admit that I'm embarassed by all the pathetic attempts at writing I've made.
