*Disclaimer* I love Halo and everything to do with it. This is NOT a bashing of Bungie, Halo or anything remotely related to it. This is simply my opinion.

On September 22nd, we got the long awaited ODST. Despite it being a decent sized game with some very good potential, it was not and probably will not be half as popular as the other games in the Halo trilogy. This, I think, is because most Halo players who are not really big fans of the series completely forgot about it after Halo 3.
They 'finished the fight', so I suppose that means they think Halo is finished. The majority of those players probably don't even know/CARE about Halo: Reach, just like many of them didn't care for ODST.
And then there is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Despite how much I love Halo and dislike CoD, I think ODST's population is going to diminish very quickly when it comes out, simply because it has become a huge franchise since Call of Duty 4. That is the 'new thing'. We all have to face it: Halo 3 is aging, and fast, while the Call of Duty series has added, what, two more games since Halo 3's release?
I am really hoping that Halo Reach will be the most amazing thing that's ever happened to the Halo series. I don't want it to be a short lived game whose population is swallowed whole by Call of Duty.
Do you think Reach will meet those expectations?
Discuss.
