Here is my idea for a MP game type. It would most likely need it's own servers because there is so much going on.
This would be a 20v20 (or more) war that would take place on several maps. You choose what map you want to go to when you spawn. Each map would be a different game type (i.e. Slayer, CTF, KOTH, Bomb etc.). There would be two maps for every game type (Covenant and Human). The first team (Covenant or USNC) to win all the game types on the opposing teams maps wins the war/match. How you win each game type is explained below.
Slayer - the only game type where I can't get it to work with there being a map for each team. I don't know how to make a team want to go to a map where the opposing team just needs to kill them. If there is a solution then you could do a game variant where you only play slayer maps but have different slayer game types on the maps (snipers, SWAT, BR's, etc.). Maybe just get Slayer into the other game types somehow (team needs to also get 500 kills to win).
There is an alternative though. Have a Slayer variant where there is only 1 map for each game type and the team who wins 2/3 or 3/5 or 5/9 of the maps wins the war. The map varieties could include weapon variations, max team size on map, and SWAT.
You could also do a team objective variant where there are only one map for each game type.
CTF- Go to the other team's CTF map, get their flag from their base, bring it back to your base. Do this either once or three times depending on how long or large you want matches to be. Once you do that, the map is closed and count's as a completion for you.
Bomb- Go to the other team's bomb map, get the bomb from your base, go to the other team's base (or bases depending on match length/size), and detonate bomb(s). Once completed map is closed.
KOTH- This one could work two ways. Option one: Hills move every 30, 60, or 90 Live seconds and team needs to have 30, 60, or 90 Hill seconds on each spot the Hill moves to. Option Two: Every Hill location is available to go to at all times. Need 30,60,90 seconds at each one.
The overall game play would be similar to the other Halos. When choosing which map to go to, you can see how many of your teammates are on each map. There could be an option to quickly pick the same map instead of having to find it in the list again.
