this is how i think grenades in halo: reach should work

frag grenades: frag grenades would be the most powerful grenades and would have the largest blast radius. they would be good for taking out groups of enemies or bouncing them around cover to take out enemies. they would be the slow to explode so you would have to be a noob to not escape most of the frag grenades damage

sticky grenades: sticky grenades would be the weakest grenades and would have the smallest blast radius. they doom enemies to death if you stuck one of them. sticky grenades would explode quickly

spike grenades: spike grenades would be like wall mines. you would attach them to a surface and draw a string from them to attach to another surface. if the strings are agitated enough (enemies walking into them) the spike grenade would explode sending out an expanding hail of damage dealing spikes. spike grenades would be noticed as small bleeping red dot on your radar

i dont think players should spawn with grenades. i think they should have to go and look for grenades on the map. grenades should take a long time to respawn. this would reduce the ridiculous spamming of grenades (seriously, the grenade spamming in halo 3 is problematic) and put grenades in the status of a valuable and rare commodity that would be used when you actually need it

But Grenade Spamming is the only counter to campers.

Im pretty happy with the grenades. The only suggestion i have would be to widen and strengthen the blast cone of the spike grenade.
