i think in halo reach we should be able to use gloves that can launch cables into a ceiling or wall so u can climb up and down the wall or zipline down a hill to a weapon or unsuspecting enemy. Also why can't we use jetpacks from brutes? I would liek to be able to fly over giant walls or gates into enemy base or some other place. However i do think it should slow you down a bit when walking normally and if it gets shot a certain amount of times you get blown apart. These should be equipment you pick up so you can't have both.

ALSO since this is before halo ce we should be able to have nite vision sniper scopes like in h1. please feel free to comment

For one this is halo not Iron man or Bionic commando. The sooner you realize that the better off you will be. Plus that doesn't even sound like it would be cool.

why not it can help you move around much easier and change the way the game is played. you will have to think of new strategies to get to weapons faster and guard flags and bombs better. And i never thought of these games while thinking about the idea.

FOR -blam!-'S SAKE!!!

What is it with all these "This is Halo, not *blank*) posts?

Pull your heads out of your asses and hink a bit before you reply to these threads.

PS: I'm pretty sure Thrusterpacks and grapling hooks were mentioned in the book.

i do agree that the equipment in halo3 was kind of dumb or cheap but i do think they have their places and can be upgraded to be better. if they didnt have equipment in the game it would just be a bunch of guys shooting without thinking.

rocket packs were only used in space. grappling hook were only used before the spartans got their MJONILR battle suits

and my idea for gloves are more like ziplines you can climb up or zip down on.

I don't believe the brutes were even on Reach, so... And the glove cable thing? No. And this game is waayyyy back in time.

this game was like a few years before halo ce. and i want to know why these would be bad ideas. i dont want people just coming in saying no dont do it without giving a reason to why it is bad.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I want a portable man cannon, the forge object that lasts maybe 30 seconds.

I wouldn't mind a grappling hook that you can use just like another piece of equipment, and it latches onto a surface like a spike grenade with a rope attached.

You hit RB to climb it, hit A to cancel out.

Big Team Battle Multiflag/Slayer on Standoff/Valhalla/Sandtrap/Avalanche = Win

People are just frustrated with equipment cause they cant handle a change in battle tactics.

i dont think i have ever seen somebody try to shoot a regenerator. maybe that would help them get rid of their fear of equipment.

I don't think he means equipment in the sense of "deployable cover", I think he means stuff you use. Mjolnir armor itself counts as equipment.

Spartan119 the Red Raven.
"So officer tell me how it feels to be at the wrong end of that barrel?"

cloaking equipment.. they already programed it for halo 3 but for no piticular reason at all it wasnt avalible to multiplayer... for no reason at all.

no point in jet packs when you can have 50 % gravity

then whats the point of even having walls and floors. You like halo because of the way it plays. You may also like the way other games play like bionic commando. However, blending them together don't make them twice as good, but terrible. Its like mixing a milkshake and a smoothie.
