First off this is not necessarily a Far Cry 2 map editor. It still has that Forge feel to it. You are "Forging" existing maps not completely making new ones. Although you will almost be able to create a new map.
Basically, maps will serve as different canvases for your creations. Like Foundry and Sandbox everything in the map will be Forgable, but we aren't just talking about crates and blocks, we're talking straight up pick up a building and place it elsewhere.
Buildings and bases would be composed of smaller objects, that could be grouped together into a large one.
Pressing a certain button would take you to a white room like area, where you would put together various objects, group them, and then go back to normal Forge.
There will hopefully be various bases to place as objects. Along with plenty of other "Intractable" Objects, (such as gates, bridges, elevators, ect.) along with corresponding "buttons."
There may also be:
-The ability to edit objects in real time (like it is now) or you could pause it and edit objects with out the interruptions.
-Items will merge with terrain automatically and stay in place when paused.
-More forms of GravLifts/Man Cannons.
-Placeable glass objects (Windows).
-Placeable Deathbarriers/Invisible barriers that you can't walk through.
-More detailed item options.
-And lastly an "undo" feature.
A copy and paste option could hopefully be put into place so that you could copy one object at a time a paste it elsewhere, hopefully also in other maps.
*There may or may not be the ability to edit objects.
On certain maps you would also be able to place "weather emitters" similar to Filters these objects would cause various weather conditions (Snowy, Cloudy, Rainy). Along with "weather emitters" there would be something like time controllers that would make the map day, night, or morning.
You would also be able to set a screenshot as your map's "Cover Picture."
Done.
