honestly, i dont work at CVS.

Could Halo Reach have different classes? where you choose like Sniper, Gunner, Stealth and all that good stuff? looking at the characters silhouettes i see what seems to be a Heavy Gunner (or an Elite) a guy with an AR, a Sniper, and a character with a knife or something small. Idk what the 5th person is holding or doing.

I feel like if this turns out to be a squad like sort of game then having different classes would fit right into that.

Just a theory though.

p.s.- I miss Master Chief...

it's NOT an elite, for sure. and the 5th person is crouching and holding a sniper rifle... but I think I missed your point because surely you noticed it o.O

yea, i didnt really put those in order so what i see from left to right:

Heavy Gunner (or Elite as some ppl think), Unknown Class, Character holding an AR, Character holding a Knife, Sniper.

proof it's just a tall spartan. look at his helmet, his legs and his weapon. also it wouldn't make sense to have an elite work with humans, as they'd even just rush weaponless to their death rather than pick up a human weapon... let alone ally with them.

My guess is that Halo Reach will steer clear of having a defined class system like a battlefield game. That's just the impression I get from comments from Joe Staten concerning Halo Reach being a squad based game "without the baggage". Throughout the campaign of Halo Reach we may very well follow a particular squad, but I doubt that either squad specific controls or individual class options for the player will be a part of the Halo Reach single player experience.

Maybe we'll see squad/class options for multiplayer...who knows?

its funny cuz those things you said make me see more of an Elite type of character. I dont see a helmet. Its legs look like they bend at the 'knees', and the 'ankles'. the bottom part looks too long to be human.

I know its supposed to be a prequel to HaloCE, where you only fight Elites really, but just like in other Halo games an Elite could help Humans. even on Reach. I refuse to rule it out bub.

good point sir. maybe we'll just use the Dpad for commands or something. then have classes in multiplayer. cuz as we know a Beta means a new type of multiplayer. I like where you went with that and i appreciate the input.

Yeah, I would love to see a new twist on Halo's adversarial gameplay in next year's beta. Maybe that looks like class options or a even a full fledged load out screen prior to spawn. We'll have to wait and see.

My Bungiepedia Article | My Halo Reach Service Record | The Mile High Club - For Bad Company 2, Halo, and CoD!

Nyan nyan, nyan nyan, ni hao nyan! Gorgeous, delicious, deculture!

If Halo: Reach does include classes, I hope it merges classes with the current style

What I mean is that you can select certain classes with certain weapons, but you can still find other weapons lying around the map.

If you could start with things like a Sniper Rifle or a Rocket Launcher, I sure Bungie would find some way to balance it out (like making the Rocket Launcher terribly inaccurate, or making the Sniper less effective with no scope activated).
