One of the worst things that is a constant occurrence in the Halo 3 matchmaking multiplayer is the when you join a ranked game and in the middle of a good game, someone decides it's a good idea to quit. It leaves the team with less people having to work a lot harder to keep up while letting one team either pummel the other team or just getting bored because it's no longer a fun and challenging game. Not only does it deter from the fun of the game it also kills the ranking system that people work so hard on.
I have come up with 2 solutions:
1. Base the ranking system on individual performance rather than team based performance.
Not having to rely on the skills of teammates in order to rank up, and can make the game still fun even though you know you will lose a game because of a quitter. This one I'm not really into because it makes the game less competitive and will just have people trying to pad their stats.
2. Jumping in and out of games in progress.
Meaning that when someone leaves a full game it searches for a person looking for a game to take over that persons spot. This is a simple solution that has been done in MANY games before that would work for Halo in my opinion. Minor adjustments would have to be made to gametypes or maps for it to work but I know it can.
This might have already been suggested but I'm just tired of not being able to play a full fair game anymore on Halo 3 because of quitters.
Other suggestions are encouraged :]
