Subject: Themesongs.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

You people probably know about how fake-wrestlers have themesongs for their "big" entrances on tv and such... I thought it would be neat if there was something like that in Halo 2. Just for kicks.

I know this would never happen, and probably would just be sort of a waste if it did, but what would your Master Chief's or Elite's themesong be (in multiplayer)?

My MC or Elite (whichever I prefer when Halo 2 gets here), who will be named Shai-Hulud, "will" have Iron Maiden's Nomad as his themesong.

I'd say To Tame a Land, but although its based on Dune, I just like Nomad better as a song.

[Something] Clown Possy's -blam!- the World would make a great themesong for this sorta thing,... but its a little to "mocho," and not mysterious enough...

Insane clown posse.

And my theme song would have to be either STP or Scarlet Begonias by Sublime (Scarlet Begonias cover of a Grateful Dead song) I think.

MC's song could be the "Gondor" song in The Return of the King. Hehe.

That would be good, but a darker theme from those movies would suit you better, Barron. Maybe the Uruk-Hai theme...

I'd say the Gollum theme... but that's a little too dark and "fallen" for you... If I had to choose a LotR theme for myself, it'd be the Gollum theme, definitely.

The Mordor theme would suit me the best. I love that one...

... or maybe forgot the name of the song but it is the war chant by Nile. It could be possible for online multi set up speakers close to the headset and the other players could here your themesong.

here are the lyrics for The Trooper:

"You'll take my life but I'll take yours too
You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through
So when you're waiting for the next attack
You'd better stand there's no turning back.

The bugle sounds and the charge begins
But on this battlefield no one wins
The smell of acrid smoke and horses breath
As I plunge on into certain death.

The horse he sweats with fear we break to run
The mighty roar of the Russian guns
And as we race towards the human wall
The screams of pain as my comrades fall

We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground
And the Russians fire another round
We get so near yet so far away
We won't live to fight another day.

We get so close near enough to fight
When a Russian gets me in his sights
He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow
A burst of rounds take my horse below.

And as I lay there gazing at the sky
My body's numb and my throat is dry
And as I lay forgotten and alone
Without a tear I draw my parting groan"

Red by Motograter. Most badass beginning ever.

Or Bodies by Drowning Pool.

Or Explode by Damageplan.

Or Navras by Juno Reactor/Don Davis (or Mona Lisa Overdrive)

Or In My head by Pale 3 (that song is so crazy awesome!)

There seems to be alot of Iron Maiden fans on this forum excellent the closest i have ever gotten to seeing them live was going to a similar bands show which was the Iced earth and Children of Bodom show in March in Toronto.

It was and the funny thing was i had only been into metal for about a year by then pretty good timing. Really fun mosh pit but being in a mosh pit with tall 20 year olds and being only 14 that'll give you some bruses.

mine would be hallowed be thy name by Iron maiden (redone by cradle of Filth)

Have you ever heard Dimmu Borgir? They're like Cradle of Filth, but very talented. They have an orchestra as well- very evil and eerily good musicianship.

And heres another one- Pancake Land by Element Eighty (the suck my dick song)

Dimmu borgir is getting to well known its better i think becuase they stay more true to there music and fans if they stay underground or at least not high popularity.
