Dont get too wrapped up in the Internet. It's already forgotten about you.

I didn't vote, they were all worthy of being chosen at one point or another.

But I would like to see a Campaign with the WOW! factor of HCE.

But give me more of the overall open world/mission style of ODST.

ODST campaign (while short on easier difficulty) kills H2 and H3 campaign by far.

Not changing this signature until I feel like it.

Where's the "more like Halo 2 only" option? I loved Halo 2 the most by far. The campaign wasn't as good as CE obviously, but the Multiplayer was much better. I want the fast shooting BR, the maps that were amazing, and no damn health. I liked the atmosphere of Halo CE and agree that the new AR should be replaced with the old one, but I do have to admit that the maps for 2 were much better. Lockout, Midship, Ascension, Turf, Ivory Tower, etc. I actually liked the Halo 2 maps more than the CE ones. I agree that 3 sucked, however. The equipment, bright colors, random BR spread, lack of hitscan, and terrible maps really ruined the MM for me. I would definitely like CE and 2 influences in Reach. But for god's sake, don't bring back health!

Obviously it needs to be more like CE. Here are some game-crippling things that I DONT want to see in Reach and need to be addressed to give Reach a more CE feel, and to just make the game more fun in general.

Taken from my post in the topic "things I don't want to see in Reach"

-Brutes
-Hunched over elites that speak english. C'mon the "wort wort wort" of the elites is such an iconic phrase. making them speak english was such a small subtle travesty. And also having them hunched over makes them much less intimidating and honestly takes away a lot of their character.
Covenant campaign. Just the thought of another one of these makes my stomach want to turn over. After Halo 2 I finally understood how MGS fans felt about Raiden in MGS2. I never want another one of those disastrous moments. The arbiter's missions were terrible, his character was dull and uninteresting especially in Halo 3, and played essentially the same as the chief.
-Halo 2/3/ODST lunging melees and weak melee animations. I love how every weapon in CE had their own unique interesting melee animation, and also the jerky lunging heatseaking melees that have been in place since Halo 2 take the fluidity out of the combat, not to mention the skill of landing a successful blow.
-Halo 2/3/ODST first person weapon animations. Ever noticed how rigidly and stiffly the weapons you hold move? When running around they should be moving and bouncing around as you move. Halo 1 nailed this and even the e3 2003 demo of Halo 2 had great weapon animations, but I don't see why this was changed to make your character looking like a -blam!-ing robot when he holds his weapon.
-Halo 2/3 vehicle camera angles. They are pulled way too obnoxiously close to the vehicles. The wraith, for example, best epitomizes this. All you can see when you're driving it is the top of the mortar cannon and the reticule
-Halo 2/3 grenade arcs. Way too short. give us the Halo 1 and ODST farther throwing arcs, though with the speed of the grenade throws in Halo 1. In ODST, though could be thrown far, they traveled a tad slow in the air which can probably be attributed to the fact that a human is throwing them rather than a spartan.
-Halo 2/3/ODST weapon firing ranges. All of the weapons in Halo 1 shoot much farther than they did in all of the sequels which has helped make the gameplay in the sequels become less mid-range and MUCH more close range which I utterly hate
-Halo 2/3/ODST ammo capacities. the SMG (comparable to the AR from Halo 1) holds a meager 180 round, while the AR held 600. You can go and compare ammo counts for every weapon. You'll find they've all been greatly reduced from what they were in Halo 1. It's pathetic that you can exhaust your entire ammo supply after 2 encounters. You could possibly justify this by saying it encourages you to use other wapons. No it FORCES you to do so. Only carrying two weapons encourages, but creating a mad scarcity in ammo FORCES which is annoying.
-Halo 2/3/ODST nerfed pistol-class weapons. Ever noticed how utterly worthless the Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, etc. are compared to their Halo 1 counterparts. Bungie obviously had to do something to balance out these dual-wieldable weapons once dual-wielding was implemented but my god, I always cringe at the notion of running out of ammo and having to pick up a Plasma Pistol instead. These pistol-class weapons in the Halo sequels just aren't fun to use anymore. I would be very content at running through Halo 1 with a single-handed weapon. They were decently fun and effective to use, though I can't say the same for their successors in future Halo iterations.
-Equipment. I think this broke the pace of the gameplay and honestly the equipment felt like fun little play toys rather than interesting tools to use in gameplay.

Spartan119 the Red Raven.
"So officer tell me how it feels to be at the wrong end of that barrel?"

first thing i noticed there was no CE and ODST option. thats what i would have gone for but since there was non i went CE.

however there should be things taken from all the halo games like equipment from halo 3 and the power and weapon style of CE were everyweapon is rather powerful... in particular the AR with its bottom less clip medium range and ok power. it chould come back to its roll as a bullet hose the fall back weapon the standard. not paricularly the best but usable in almost any situation and be able to get the job done.

In my opinion, it should be something new, but not straying too far away from the other games. Combining different aspects of the other games would suffice.

People need to stop living in the past. CE will never be reproduced.

Let Reach be something new, let it combine the best out of all 4 games.

We don't want CE reprodiced, we just want someting that's THE SAmE in terms of QUALITY. Sure, I don't want a clone of CE, or even a spiritrual successor, but I'll be DAMNED if the games not as good as the first.

Where is the option for not like any of them? Still a FPS, but something completely different would be my vote.

I mentioned this in another comment

I agree with every single comment in that post. It's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum that remembers how awesome CE was, and didn't get sucked in the sequels cuz "you get to play as arby", or "OMFG i get two needlers!!!" I just can't understand these thoughts anymore. I thought it was kool for about the first three months before the games came out and then about a day and a half after they came out.
