OP, you miss two very important things with your rant. One, and the most important, is that the "adapt or die" approach works both ways, if it's removed, then BR lovers should just suck it up to. You don't ever see that mentioned when people try to tell the AR pushers to deal do you?
Second, and almost as important is that the BR, no matter how much anyone loves it, is entirely unbalanced. You don't have to be good or bad to know this. The reason it is the weapon of choice is because of it being overpowered, otherwise you'd notice a larger spread among the top-tier players.
I'd also like to add that your response above in regards to a persons rank shows that you are on the ignorant side of the pro-BR arguement. If you feel rank affects a persons ability to recognize something as obvious as imbalanced gameplay, then you do not belong anywhere near an intelligent conversation.
Touché
But my approach was from both sides. And i doubt people would want to be shooting mid range distances with a close range weapon am i right?
I never said that the rank made you hate the BR, but hating the BR leaves you at a certain rank. I don't notice imbalanced gameplay since if for example it's BR starts then both teams have the same potential in getting map control, simple as that.
This is where you, and several other BR promoters, are mistaken. Due to how effective a BR is, having BR starts offers an immediate advantage to those who are good with them. Due to the AR's natural limitations, it doesn't matter how good you are with one, you can only do so much at it's limited range. The BR falls into the same realm as the sniper, if you spawn everyone with snipers for whatever reason, there will be a distinct advantage to those who prefer the weapon.
AR starts are nuetral, you all get the same basic weapon and if desired, you look for something better. BR starts offer immediate fire lane camping to those who play that way, and immediate map control to the stronger player, without them really having to work for it. The BR is the only weapon in the game that functions consistently well outside of it's intended range. For a midrange weapon it can contend with a sniper and drop an AR in the right hands, that is the very definition of imbalance.
In it's current skin the BR should not continue to be in Halo games. If they were to refine it that would be a different story, but as it stands, the map design and weapon load-outs do not match the BR. Ask most Halo critics that play other FPS games competively, one of their biggest issues is the laughable advantage of the BR. Though the typical retort of the BR supporter is "only bad kids don't like it" (not accusing you directly) that is a very convoluted view, and shows nothing more than an absolute single-mindedness due to the love of the easiest weapon to boost stats with.
In regards to the other issue, even mention rank in any context of these conversations draws a poor picture of where your coming from. A good example, I'm only a Major or something, with no games played in the last few months, the reason? I'm very tired of playing Halo3: BR, where you need to rely on a single weapon to stay competitive. It isn't hard, it's boring. In Halo CE you had to diversify and know how to do more than just grab the BR and camp a firing lane.
Further proof needed that there is something wrong with the BR? Why do pro's (in this context MLG) prefer one tool over another? Because it offers them an advantage over their competition. The BR does not level any playing field, it streamlines the gameplay and makes it monotonous, in it's current form.
