Do you think they should have the Pelican (and/or Phanton) as Team Multiplayer vehicles? Similar to the Elephants in Sandtrap, what if you and your team could steal the flag from the other players' fort in a Aerial Based map? Halo 3's combat would be more diverse. Instead of storming the other teams flag with AR's and Magnums, work as a team and use tactic? I dunno, what do you think?

we would need to have A LOT bigger maps to even necessitate it.
i wouldn't mind seeing the old-school bandits again, though. maybe for Reach?

Halo: CE should stay the way that it is. The Phantom should stay in Halo2/3 where it belongs.

yes but they cant make it invinsable like the elephant but it should be weaker then a phantom when you use the tank to kill it it should also be able to put out flares for rockets and be used in the place as big as sandtrap and be able to carry monguses and one machinegun warthog with no tank or guass. and one reason is that bungie did not put it in forge was because they had to make a phantom to level the playing feild but they should make a smaller version of the phantom.

and yes they should put it in weve been waiting long enough

yeah. i wouldn't mind it, but there would have to be a game type to use it though, i wouldn't want to be playing team slayer and all the sudden a squad of noobs gets dropped off by a pelican and then getting killed by its rockets though, but yeah, most definitely i would like that, but I'd be surprised if Bungie did do that

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Maybe if halo had way more players at once, it would be useful. And you can fly them in mods, but they shouldnt add them right now, unless there were similar viechles (i could see them in h3)

well, i think there should be like one or two maps with pelicans, phantoms, albatrosses, elephants, ect. if every mad had this option, it wouldnt realy be halo. to much of a good thing is bad, and after all, citadel is one of my favorite map.

It's all about scale people, if you have something like a dropship at your disposal, you need the scale to neccessitate it. At the current standard, a hog is more than adequat to transport a group accross a map, a mongoose, ghost, or banshee making the trip even shorter. If you are to add a full size troop transport into the game, you need to increase it's size dramatically.

For something like this to make any practical sense you would need something north of 6 times the size of Sandtrap for this even to make sense. Then you get into how something that large would pilot, handle, be effected by AA fire, how to build environments around it, etc, etc.

With current console and more importantly network limitations, I don't see something like this happening anytime soon.
