Was just watching some Halo vids and was thinking to myself: "It'd look pretty epic if were inside our characters helmet, looking through their eyes, ripping someone out of a warthog with our bare hands"

Would feel more intense in my opinion, as well as be a bit more immersive. Thoughts?

That would be pretty cool, however I am satisfied with it the way it is. If you stayed in first person while jacking a vehicle, than how would it smoothly transition into driving in third person?

driving first person would be GAAANGS.

I disagree. Mainly because you can keep a better look on the fight if you're in third person. (eg. frags, people, vehicles)
Possibly be able to toggle it in options menu?

I thought of this; I can't see why it would be any different than transitioning from normal first person to hopping into a vehicle and going 3rd.

something like a chopper!

Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is a philosophical position that argues that existence is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.

Put simply in the words of Nietzsche as "the will to nothingness".

So would driving in first person, but then we would lose most of our peripheral vision. Although cool looking rather pointless, like more detail melees and what not.

I also think they should switch it to first person driving because after all, it is a first person shooter

It would certainly add to the immersion factor, aswell as to reduce the effectiveness of warthogs on maps.

Hmm, I'd like it if there was a lot more emphasis on First Person perspective in this game, from vehicles, to turrets, heavy weapons, etc. It would definitely make the game look pretty cool. But then again watching your guy jump onto a Ghost and ninja kick the guy out (especially if said Ghost is airborne) is awesome enough in itself. I guess it's a decision between immersion or gameplay.

Gameplay usually wins out in the end, I mean if it wasn't fun then why would anyone want to play it.

It could be cool to drive firstperson, but how would it be driving a ghost or banshee?

Just imagine skyjacking a ghost while it's spinning around in the air trying to shake you off, and you're right there in your character's helmet experiencing it.

HATERS GONNA' HATE

First person jacking, but there needs to be third-person driving.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

I want first-person driving.

It's too easy to splatter people in 3rd person.
