Hmm?

1.) He went into cryo sleep on the Pillar of Autumn and they escaped. He is also an excellent leader. Overall his skills are good. The other spartans were all spectacular at what they did, but he was good at everything. (Pretty much like, some were extremely fast, or accurate, etc. etc. but John is overall good but not that best at everything.

2.) Can't remember exactly what the families have in say towards this, but if I can recall, it is an honor or something if their child gets chosen. Or else he was just taken away, again, can't remember.

3-1/2.) Reach is a different planet that spartans were trained on.

4.) Don't remember any other armor pieces or Marks. Haven't had the chance to read my Ghosts of Onyx. But perhaps there was Mark 1-2-3-4, and then we see mark 5/6 in Halo 1-2/3.

5.) Out of all the books I have read, I'd suggest Halo: The Fall of Reach.

Hope this helps, and perhaps some of you, if I got this wrong could help refresh my memory on some stuff. :)

*Edit* Turns out my memory is incorrect, they WERE kidnapped.

Thats one thing i want to see in reach. How much John changes from kid to killer.....

And IIRC, Cortana mentioned that MC was chosen because of his extra trait, Luck. Or was that only towards why she stuck with him?

Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

Wow. Okay, here's the answer to EVERY question.

1. John is the luckiest Spartan, and the best Spartan.

2. No, their families get no say in it. The kids are abudcted.

3. Reach is a planet, which is destroyed by the Covenant in the "Fall of Reach" novel.

4. There is actually no armor in the books that are in Halo novels besides Mark V. The only other armor is SPI used in the Ghosts of Onyx.

5. Read the Fall of Reach.
