Very intresting.

btw the secruity doors in the unlockable rooms are probably nothing.. the rooms surrounded by wall surrounded by actual unlocked map which means those doors are probably just secret exits...

but you never know that wall WAS big enough to put a hallway in so there may be a secret room... its exciting to know what might be there

itll be hard but by staring at glyphs it took a short time to unlock the root room sooo.. theres still a chance

I still say that the glyphs and stonehenge areas are connected. When he looked at the glyph to open the door he got a checkpoint, well what if when you look at or do something to the glyphs on the first stonehenge in a certain order you got a checkpoint? This could show you unlocking something, and I can bet that it would be the next stonehenge area with another stonehenge. It's probably not going to be an easy order but if anyone gets a checkpoint while checking out the glyphs on the initial stonehenge LET US KNOW!

that happened in the video but i didnt get a checkpoint when i looked at the glyph

probably just coicidential timing

Get over yourself - drink vodka!

The room we got into after looking at the glyphs seemed as if it hadn't loaded properly.

If you look along the top of the buildings you see ghost geometry and floating prongs. Also, it is missing the 4 triangular planters that are in the room's mirror up north.

I think maybe we are meant to get into the room later on after causing it to load properly, else it was unintentional.

Guys Im playing coop with a friend and we were in the plaza with the magic wall when he suggested I goto the closest stonehenge room. When I arrived the crashed drop pod had completely disappeared and there were 2 jackal snipers residing in the room. This is the first time I've ever seen an enemy in this room. For proof I will upload a vid sometime today.

**SUPER EDIT**

Just went back to the magic wall and the two doors beside it were open....nothing inside them though just empty space....It's really creepy though.

it might actually not be because of the odd loading it probably was intentional i doubt it would load after the door was opened

there are 3 theorys

1. a scrapped extra room that was never completed

2. your idea

3. bungie half-assed it cause its a easter egg thats hard to find

or

4. by the time bungie thought some1 would get into it they would have accidentally unlocked stuff IN it that blocked your sight of those un finished areas and just didnt bother to put stuff in blocked areas

hopefully its not 1 and 2s unlikely so its either 3 or 4 or something i didnt think of

we dont know... yet!

Please don't come saying we shouldn't have opened it yet..(I know, it's not it.)

Oh and some real bussiness I thought:
Cold Glider said that 3 is very important number and stuff, right? Sooo...
The superintendident face has 3 rings, riight?
Not sure if it's anything, but maybe it could prove some more connection between the glyphs and SI (even though the glyphs with SI faces were enough to prove XD)

Ummm, don't know about the pod, but there are jackals in a room near Dare's helmet, right?
Anyway, post those vids, ASAP, plz.

Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it often.

Arguing on the internet is like running in the special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded.

Just finished checking out the confirmed room in sector 8. After trying to open more doors in the same sector, I touched a glyph in sector 5 and returned to 8. As far as I could tell, no doors opened, but all of the monitors and tv screens moved off of the walls about 5 feet...

jrwilly007:

the room in the game that has rocks in a circle, 2 engineers, and glyphs on the rocks

If it helps, after small bits and pieces of information, engineers are forerunner made machines. Made for the purpose of repairing things, and nothing else. They didn't die with the rings because their machines and are not actually living. Knowing this, a theory could be their forerunner symbols. Which afaik they are not. (Source) Some of the other random symbols you find in the game appear to be though. just need to decipher them :O.

New piece of info went to the engineer room and it only had half of the glyphs possible, for those who want an early unedited look it will be on my file share in 5. Happy hunting, will post a edited for time version on youtube in about 2 hours.

x camelot you may be onto something

on that wiki page it gave some numbered symbols

they look live the symbols in some of the glyphs

maybe that could be helpful

edit: nevermind no match

Please don't come saying we shouldn't have opened it yet..(I know, it's not it.)

I didn't say we shouldn't have discovered it. I said it seems as though something else needs to happen for the room to load properly, else we aren't meant to be there and it's unrelated to the puzzle.
I think the door "opens" not because of looking at the symbols but because the player moved into the next loading/checkpoint zone and backtracked.
Either way, this still needs a lot of exploration.

I have a question for you guys. If something shows up as BLUE while in visr mode, that means you can interact with it right? i.e. weapons, vehicles, doors, switches?

I found a blue button in sector 8 I think that won't respond. It is a keypad type switch that says "Access *******" I can't read the second word.

A random thought I just had in relations to secrets, would possibly playing the audio-logs in a specific order do anything?

  • 10.04.2009 12:28 PM PDT

i think the second word might be denied and its just to seem like you could interact with it but your denied from doing it
