okay this is probably bull-balm!- but when i wacked the elite bodies into the middle and drove my mongoose into the middle then hopped off the engineers made rather loud thretaning sounds.

Engineer's randomly make odd noises.

Has anyone noticed that some of the J markings on the buildings around the districts look like they could have something written in Braille on them? That or I'm over thinking about it when I look at them.

Could you post an image?
It could be something.

I was looking round the city at pieces of paper, and in one of them I found a picture of a ODST holding a BR. But the picture is dark and unfocused should a take a picture and put it in my file share?

Sure, if we keep collating all the images that might lead to possible puzzles eventually we're bound to find something.

Woah, look where this has gotten to.

1. Hyroglyphics possibly have something to do with this?

2. There's an empty sword hilt?

3. How can I help?

4. There really should be a group on this.

Dropping into hell.....feet first

I dont want to go through 25 pages...but has anybody posted this vid stating there is no sword? They opened up the code to the first level, i know thats not the entire game, but still.

yes, you should really read the 25 pages, we're not so much about finding the sword now.

  • 10.04.2009 4:49 PM PDT

Everytime i sleep i have to read plenty of pages so yes, you have to read all of them.

Don't confuse me with anyone normal.

I checked the "brail"
It's not brail, but it still could mean something...
I'm mostly posting on the other forum now (mentioned earlier) but, I'll bring it up there.

Ok promised to upload a vid and it's taken me a while. But it is done here for your clicky pleasure is the vid of myself and a friend discovering some interesting evidence bout the hyroglyphs. Including an encounter faintly reminesicent of IWBYD in halo 2. If you would like higher quality (-blam- youtube) check my fileshair for the vid. It's the only one on there.

Can the OP add all the finds?

I know I read all 25 pages and I still don't know what is going on.

All I find is:

Secret room; obtained by finding glyphs; stonehenge; sword; elites; security doors; weird morse code blinking

Someone please simplify this?

Yes I have noticed them. I am having trouble finding them again. Maybe you could take a few snap shots for us all. Or at least pm me and tell me what level.

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

So it's night over here, headset on, explore New Mombasa.

My God...

I went to the secret room just by district 6 (the one that opens after looking at a glyph). I go in, I'm all "cool". I see a window, turn on VISR, look in, I see bathroom tiles. Nothing me, it's too dark. All of sudden this bang starts and drums start like crazy. Scared the SHIIIIT out of me! I turned around, turns out Marty's soundtrack decided to play.

Isn't it weird how there was never music, but when I enter district 6, music starts? And when I left, it stopped. Then it started in the secret area (as I mentioned above.)

but wouldn't the empty black squares have question marks in there and maybe they replaced the sword spree with the hammer spree and dream crusher.

  • 10.04.2009 5:15 PM PDT

I don't know if we are still on the subject of the stone henge. However on the map I can see four distinct stone henges one of which is in a locked district.
Just pointing it out.

I have found what you seek...

"Of course not, because that would be too conveinient!"

I' just tuned in on this thread (my guess is that you guys have a cool thing going) and I've been lost so many times by the mention of different rooms and where things are in game. So I've found this as a resource you guys could use to effectively mark areas you are talking about, that way we don't need to watch videos, enlarge pictures etc. now we can just go to it in the game.

Now for my theories:
I think that anything you guys are looking for, be it a secret room or the ability to ride an engineer through mombasa (a secret desire of mine), is in one of the locked areas of the map. I also think that those will be unlocked to us at some point, because it would be a waste to have mapped out all that terrain, and have it end up not being used.

I'm a n00b.

A question. Why include the rocket launcher if there is little to no point of having one? Sure they can kill Brutes and the odd ghost you encounter but it doesn't have enough ammo to last long. Maybe there is a special reason for having it. I got this idea about what someone said about spilling blood and sacrificing an ally.
