A question. Why include the rocket launcher if there is little to no point of having one? Sure they can kill Brutes and the odd ghost you encounter but it doesn't have enough ammo to last long. Maybe there is a special reason for having it. I got this idea about what someone said about spilling blood and sacrificing an ally.

in one of the locked areas of the map. I also think that those will be unlocked to us at some point, because it would be a waste to have mapped out all that terrain, and have it end up not being used.

i remember Bungie saying there was going to be multiple districts, besides the MBARAKI. i know anothers name is Lubumba.

I make a legitimate thread on the most logical choice for the next Bond actor, and you take that away from me by creating a parody thread indirectly connecting my thread to yours.

I hope your kids have bad influences and develop bad personalities. I wish this with all my heart.

I've fully searched the area behind the barrier at the beginning of the Tayari Plaza level. It's strange, they built way more then you can actually see back there, nothing related to this though :/
gonna explore the Stonehenges now.

We mouth the vilest sacrament
And adhere to these tacit skirmishes
All for one day ideal and saffron-drenched
We ate each other's hearts out of serving dishes

God, go away you stupid troll

Some cool philosophies from The World Ends With You (DS)

The World Ends with You........ Give up on yourself, and you give up on the world.

Only by allowing strangers in can we find new ways to be ourselves.
The World Ends with You is one of the best games on DS, buy it if you have a DS.

Has anybody else noticed that in nearly all the corners of District 6 tere is glyphs, and nearby are always Elites, and some sort of plasma weapon. I have seen carbines and beam rifles.I think that district 6 is a key for all the other loccked doors. As for the Stonehenges, I have no clue.

"Of course not, because that would be too conveinient!"

*May contain spoilers*
After reading through here(someone just posted a link there), and how they talk about the glyphs being of a covenant origin, I remembered that in the room with "stone hedge", one of the glyphs has the superintendant simbol on it (the circle with the two eyes in it). Anyone who has beaten the game on legendary and stuck around after the epilogue (the video that has a prophet in it) would know that there is a forerunner structure under the level "data hive", where the superintendant is held (the same discovery can be referenced to by the father of Saddie from the audio logs. He mentions a great discovery while working on the superintendant, only to be cut off by Saddie telling him that the city is under attack). I think that at least some of the glyphs are directions to this discovery.

And the SI responds "Slow down. Final notice: Bill past due." Could this be a clue? Does anyone know why the Si would say that?

Vergil says to Sadie "Slow down. Children at play" when she says she's going to enlist in the army so Slow Down means "Wait".

Final notice: Bill past due might mean "You've gone past it".

Hey! Thanks for the spoiler!

a.k.a. Daishi_NRE back in the day when b.net stood for Battle.net.

We need a list of districts and if glyphs and/or elites are located there. My thinking is this: Along the lines of the jumping through hoops to retrieve the IWHBYD skull in H3. Maybe the activation of glyphs in order, perhaps one in each district, opens, lets say, the energy barrier that blocks the rest of district 9.

I LOVE MEN'S PRIVATE PARTS

I see what you did there.

  • 10.04.2009 6:08 PM PDT

See if any clues can be found in the loading screens. They could just be random streams of data... Or maybe not.

  • 10.04.2009 6:38 PM PDT

Odd, I went to a stonehenge area and all the Y symbols were blank (nothing in the arms of the Y)
I shot an elite body with a shotgun and one of the Y's got a sad superintendent face in the top part of the Y.

Strange...

Also, if you use a mongoose to glitch into the area where you would start on the firefight crater map, the stuff on the wall is slightly different...

Interesting... I will have to try both of those. Which stonehenge area were you in? I think that with every area maybe different weapons would have different affects on the SI glyph.

Space, zoom, fade!

I was just at the 'magic wall' in district 4.
I shot around the entire wall with my s.m.g and a weird sound started, it sounded like the engineers when they are unhappy.
i found this odd considering NO engineers were anywhere near my location.

Don't have time to check, but if you care, it's towards the end of this film on my fileshare.

I'm a n00b.

But what if there is another reason for the rocket launcher? I get the hunters but you can usually run right past them. I get what you are saying but there has to be another reason.

Well, after spending an hour or two reading this entire thread, I have gotten pretty hyped over all of this. It's like the Halo CE megg, Halo 2 Trigates and Halo 3 IWHBYD. This however, makes some sense. I just want some hacker to break down those glyphs and find out what the **** they trigger. So close... and yet, so far. Too bad I cannot contribute to this search. I finished the campaign, got the vidmasters and then returned it. This search alone, however, is tempting me to buy this again.

  • 10.04.2009 6:53 PM PDT

Well the sad thing is as I said earlier in the thread, the reward (if any) for this isn't an energy sword since an energy sword doesn't in exist in the map file for Mombasa Streets...

It's possible that all the glyphs and disappearing/changing blockades could be to keep the city lively and interesting, and to show that the Engineer's liked the elites...

I do hope we're on to something though...
