You can't spell GARBAGE without AR.

Didn't saddie and her Police friend get in an elephant in the audio logs? Does this mean anything?
I also had this wierd encounter with a piece of litter near micky's drop pod. It had a picture of a magnum on it, and a few different word on it, including "pull here" with an arrow pointing down. At that point, the only thing that caught my attention about that piece was the detail on it; unlike most pieces of trash you see around, it was completly ledgible. I dismissed it and got distracted with trying to flip over the cover of the drop pod in search of a clue. There was no clue of the other side of the cover, but I realized this piece of trash had dissapeared.
My point is that we have all been overlooking these pieces of trash. I've already found a few easter eggs on them, like the bungie.net gorilla thing, and I think I saw an ID card of some type on another (if my screen was a higher resolution, I would have been able to read it).
As a side note, I found (by found I mean I didn't know about if before I stumbled upon it) an easter egg on the level "uplift reserve", near a BIG purple covenant structure that you go by as you're climbing up the hill (it's behind a mound of Dirt, next to a warthog, on the other side of the purple thing). It seems to be similar to the red vs blue easter egg on the level "rats nest" in halo 3. This time, there's a wounded marine on the ground that is saying strange things. I couldnt stop laughing long enough to think if there was any meaning behind it. Also, I assume the easter egg changes depending on the difficulty.
What you found would be one of those pistol ammo packets that were in Halo 1 and 2. They made a return in ODST. One of the things I wished for in Halo 3 was forgable ammo packets so you didn't have to place another weapon just to resupply players because you would be adding another of those weapons and offset the balance. Anyways I was disapointed about that they weren't even in Halo 3, but it's made a nostalgic comeback in ODST.
Anyways, when you walk over it, it gives you ammo. There's also ammo packets for AR, SMG, and box ammo for shotgun, sniper, and rockets.
BTW, it probably "disappeared" when you wasted a couple pistol rounds and then walked over it.
These things were all over the ODST campaign. If the packet was blue, it was pistol ammo, green/black for SMG, and red for AR.
